In this role, you have the opportunity to
Join one of our key growth areas, Mother & Child Care category (Philips Avent). On the basis of your professional specialization at academic level, make a fundamental contribution to the verification of innovative products. As a Test & Verification Architect, you are part of the Test & Verification team and you will develop technical / technology options to verify products that meet consumer needs and business requirements.
You closely work with development leads and architects to ensure the verification activities of new product innovations. As you are part of a dynamic team of experienced professionals, you are comfortable and capable working independent and leading tasks in your area of expertise but you are more interested in collaborating with your colleagues and challenging the status quo to come up with truly exciting and innovative solutions.
You are responsible for
the development and realization of verification test equipment used to verify innovative products. Next to that you drive the perfect verification test execution and reporting.
In cooperation with the development lead you develop test methodology for verification of functional & performance requirements on product level.
You translate product requirements into development and realization of verification test equipment.
You create the test and verification equipment architecture, including transfer functions and key components.
You co-create the product design verification plan and coordinate the implementation of it.
You develop new and optimize existing test methods and equipment (mechanical construction).
You drive the technical development of mechanical constructions, measurement systems and smart measurement data analysis.
You do, or lead, the detail design of key test equipment components, and you coordinate their realization.
You proof, that the technical test equipment design meets the requirements by means of tolerance analysis, material selection, stress and deformation calculations, simulations etc.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Master degree in Mechanical / Bio-mechanical engineering or Physics
Proven track record of over 5 years in development and realization of measurement and test equipment or products in a verification or R&D environment
Experience in at least one relevant field of competency for test and verification methods, e.g. mechanics, data acquisition, measurement systems, common manufacturing techniques, tolerance analysis, Measurement System Analysis etc.
Creation of measurement control systems (preferably LabVIEW)
Experience in working in a highly regulated industry
