In this role, you have the opportunity to
use your clinical and technical skills to be the clinical lead in the development of new clinical applications on CT scanners and image post-processing workstations. Responsibilities include partnering with Key Opinion Leaders for clinical research, innovation, requirements specification and management, escorting the development process and clinical aspects testing. You will also support clinical adoption of new CT technologies .
You are responsible for
Initiate, escort and contribute to clinical research with PHILIPS partners with strong focus in France and in particular Lyon (HCL).
Product development support for CT:
Lead clinical applications innovation in CT scanners and workstation, including spectral CT and Photon Counting CT
High level clinical requirements input to Customer Requirement Specification
Detailed clinical and workflow requirements for all clinical aspects of the CT scanner and the clinical applications on the workstation
Support development cycle: escort R&D team throughout the development process including risk assessment, implementation support, verification, Clinical Evaluation Report, defect prioritization and sites support
Support regulatory process like EUMDR, literature reviews for Clinical Evaluation Reports.
Image quality expert
Contribute to the clinical roadmap of CT
Local sales support:
Educate local marketing and sales people
Support customer adoption of new CT technologies:
Artificial Intelligence based applications
Keep abreast of clinical, regulatory, market, and technical developments in the relevant areas through clinical trends analysis, frequent clinical visits, Literature research and Conference participation.
Cooperate with other clinical scientists, software architects and software developers from the Business Innovation Unit and Philips Research.
Make knowledge available for operational use within Philips to support marketing efforts and increase market awareness and acceptance of new technology solutions, by demonstrating the added value to clinical outcome.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Master degree in Bio-Medical engineering / Life Science / Physics.
Ph.D. in Bio-Medical engineering / Life Science / Physics.
At least 3 years’ experience in the Medical devices industry, preferably Imaging Systems
Experience in establishing clinical or academic network
Proven skills in leading multi-disciplinary advanced development projects and experience in the medical domain
Excellent Presentation Skills
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work in a global team with various disciplines
Aware of business interests and effects
Fluent in French and English.
Willing to travel. Can be home based but requires to be often on customer sites (mainly France and Europe). Located in Lyon area preferred.
