Responsibilities:

  • Key member of the JV management team.

  • Formulates and implements long-term vision/direction/strategy, as agreed with JV partners: managing the capabilities of the department and ensuring flawless project execution by a highly motivated staff. Motivates and inspires a department of Researchers and Developers to add maximum value to Trixell

  • Inspires and contributes to cross-organizational strategy and project teams working on innovation themes and breakthroughs.

  • Manages capabilities of the department; to develop and maintain a long-term view on the required competences and knowledge to introduce new technology.

  • Ensures that there are adequate resources and tools at the proper time, is responsible for the technology and architecture in the department, and is responsible for maintaining and improving the department’s knowledge and expertise.

  • Ensures appropriate personnel management practices regarding recruitment and selection, adequate staffing, remuneration, performance appraisals, education and training, and management development policy.

  • Ensures an engaged, innovative, and inspiring working environment in the department by motivating, challenging, and coaching the department 's employees towards growth, manages and optimizes the innovative climate, stimulating entrepreneurship and driving engagement.

  • Is co-responsible for achieving operational plans, guides Project Managers/Leaders and ensures the optimal allocation of personnel to the projects and effective project management, Ensure excellent project execution by constantly optimizing project management practices in the department to exceed customer expectations.

  • Cooperates with relevant parties outside of the department. Works across the borders of the own department – e.g. formulate strategies or project proposals across department borders, cooperating with other department heads, programs and the business. Establishes a network with relevant players; scientific relations outside of the department and with the business - on all topics, and actively using this network to obtain input on technological developments, identifying trends and opportunities

  • The R&D leader also will take part and as required take leadership in the negotiations with the JV partners on roadmaps, budgets and delivery commitments.

Rejoindre l’équipe dirigeant de Trixell, une JV destinée à développer et produire des capteurs plans digitaux à rayons X pour la radiologie médicale. Fournisseur n+1 mondial pour la radiographie, la fluoroscopie et le cardiovasculaire, Trixell est un acteur reconnu dans l’imagerie médicale. Ses trois compagnies-parentes, Thales Electron Devices (51%), Philips Healthcare (24,5%) et Siemens Healthcare (24,5%) apportent leurs compétences complémentaires, Philips amenant le Directeur de la R&D. En tant que Responsable R&D, vous devrez formuler et implémenter la vision à long terme, la direction et la stratégie R&D, en accord avec les partenaires de la JV.

Trixell est basé à Moirans, Isère (38).

Vos principales responsabilités incluent

  • Le management et l’anticipation à long terme des besoins en compétences et ressources du département R&D de Trixell, afin d’assurer la bonne exécution des projets d’introduction de nouvelles technologies.

  • S’assurer de la bonne gestion RH de l’équipe R&D, tant dans les aspects recrutement, rémunération, évaluation des performances, que politiques de formation et développement.

  • Assurer un environnement de travail propice à l’innovation via la motivation, le challenge et le coaching des équipes vers la croissance, l’innovation, l’entrepreneuriat et l’investissement

  • Réaliser les plans opérationnels et accompagner les Responsables de Projet dans la conduite efficace des projets et l’allocation optimale des ressources.

  • Développer un réseau de partenaires scientifiques et business à l’extérieur et au sein du groupe, vous permettant de rester à l’écoute des évolutions technologiques, tendances et opportunités.

  • Participer aux négociations avec les autres partenaires de la JV quant aux orientations budgétaires, roadmaps et engagements de résultats de Trixell.

L’équipe dirigeante de Trixell et rapportez au PDG. Vous êtes également rattaché au Directeur R&D Image Chain de Philips

Vos atouts pour réussir à ce poste

  • Formation technique Master 2 minimum, dans les domaines relatifs au traitement d’image et à l’imagerie médicale, aux rayons X, aux displays ou aux technologies de détection d’image.

  • Au moins 10 ans d’expérience de management de larges équipes de R&D impliquées sur des projets d’introduction de nouveaux produits ou nouvelles technologies

  • Aptitudes démontrées en négociation, sens politique et capacité à faire des compromis

  • Leadership, capacité à créer de la confiance, capacité à fédérer

  • Niveau bilingue anglais/français indispensable

Join the Management team of Trixell, a joint-venture company committed to the development and production of X-ray flat panel digital detectors covering a wide range of medical applications in radiology. As the #1 worldwide supplier of large-format digital detectors for general radiography, fluoroscopy and cardiovascular, Trixell is a well-recognized member of the high-tech medical imaging industry. You are responsible for

  • Managing the capabilities of the Trixell R&D department, in the execution of projects and through long term planning of resources and competences required to introduce new technology.

  • Ensuring appropriate personnel management regarding recruitment and staffing, remuneration, performance appraisals, education and training, and development policy.

  • Ensuring an inspiring working environment in the department by motivating, challenging, and coaching the team towards growth, innovation, entrepreneurship and driving engagement.

  • Achieving operational plans, guiding Project Managers and ensuring the optimal allocation of personnel to the projects and effective project management,

  • Establishing a network with relevant scientific and business partners on all topics, and actively using this network to obtain input on technological developments, trends and opportunities

  • Taking part or leading in the negotiations with the JV partners on roadmaps, budgets and delivery commitments.

You are a part of

The Management Team of the Trixell JV, and you report to the CEO of Trixell as well as to the Philips R&D Leader for Image Chain.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Masters degree in fields related to image processing and medical imaging technologies, X-ray, displays or detection technologies

  • At least 10 years of experience managing R&D teams and new product introduction projects

  • Demonstrated negotiation skills, political acumen, ability to compromise

  • leadership, build the confidence of each of the partners.

  • Bilingual in both French and English
