Co-op - Quality & Regulatory - Gainesville, FL - 2020

Are you interested in an Intern/Coop opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree to participate in 6-month paid intern opportunities at our sites across the US. Through these roles you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience in engineering for a HealthTech company.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist the Q&R team with relevant projects (process reviews / audits, developing training programs, developing procedures/WIs, metrics research, document retention improvements)

  • Assist the QMS team with relevant projects (process enhancements, document control improvements, regulatory or ISO projects, continuous improvement projects)

  • Assist the Design Quality engineers with relevant projects (data collection, process reviews/audits, continuous improvement projects)

  • Assist the Operational Quality team with relevant projects (PFMEAs, Control Plans, continuous improvement projects, investigations)

  • Assist the Post Market Surveillance team with relevant projects.

  • Participate in operations projects and provide feedback to the Q&R team.

  • Perform time studies and process improvement projects (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen...)

  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements :

  • Ability to follow SOPS and provide feedback.

  • Ability to effectively read, write and verbally communicate in English.

  • Ability to work independently under general guidelines and supervision.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment by collaborating to product results.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members.

  • Computer skills and work processing, spreadsheet and software capabilities (Microsoft Excel & Word).

  • Above average organizing, analyzing and a minimum of Level 3 math skills (ratios, proportions basic algebra).

  • Ability to adapt to changing duties and priorities.

  • Requires effective interpersonal skills as demonstrated through prior experience.

  • Normal hearing range sufficient to hear alarms, bells, horns, etc.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

  • Prefer junior or later in IE, BME, ME, Physics, EE or Science Field.
