Philips Senior Clinical Test Engineer PROS (Philips Radiation Oncology Systems) in Gainesville, Florida


In this role, you have the opportunity to

The Clinical Test Specialist (CTS) will deliver clinical and operational expertise by providing excellent testing, validation, education and training support within Radiation Oncology Therapy Planning. You will facilitate evidence-based practice and support internal teams during pre-sale through post implementation by providing effective outcome-based education and training solutions. The CTS will have capabilities to perform independent clinical assessments of TPS functionalities, benchmark them to current standards as well as give guidance to the R&D departments on necessary corrections.

You are responsible for

  • Support the product development with clinical and software knowledge, skills, and competence in TPS. Correlates theoretical knowledge with clinical and product information for internal testing and product validation

  • Provides pre-sale product clinical evaluations and/or educational sessions to internal resources as well as potential customers.

  • Collaborate and coordinate the delivery of internal training to sales, project management, and other service organization teams.

  • Lead testing efforts by assisting to build and complete sweeps, regression tests, performance analysis while interacting with the development team on blocker and high priority defects

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • RT certification or 5+ years professional experience as healthcare professional in Radiation Oncology

  • Comfortable in a clinical/patient environment

  • Proficient use of software applications, such as, Windows Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and navigating other computer and web-based tools (intranet/internet/apps)

  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment (medical device or other FDA highly preferred. Automotive, aerospace, telecom, etc.)

  • Ability to learn specialized industry specific software and provide digital education and training solutions as well as conduct clinical tests and validation. A

  • Ability to support and contribute to strategy and innovation.

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience with Therapy Planning Systems.

  • 2+ years experience of Software Quality testing experience

  • Experience writing test cases and executing test scripts

  • Strong and effective teaching and presentation skills

  • Strong organizational skills to sustain in a dynamic environment. Ability to multi-task and make independent decisions.

  • High proficiency writing and executing accepted Test processes, such as black box testing, white box testing, smoke tests, regression tests and other generally accepted tests

  • Experience following Quality System procedures for change control (documentation and product)
