Philips Head of IT UK & Ireland in Guildford, United Kingdom


In this role, you have the opportunity to lead the IT team to support the UK & Ireland market, which includes the Operations Team, Business Analysts and as well as the End2End Project Management Team.

You are responsible for

  • Deployment of the Company’s IT strategy into the market

  • Supporting the market in identifying opportunities for IT solutions to bring productivity gains for the market and subsequently leading the implementation of any such tools

  • Providing Project Management Resources to all the End2End Transformation projects and any other Business Critical projects that Market Management identifies.

  • Monitoring quality, effectiveness and efficiency of IT services communicating performance and driving benefits across all users

  • Leading a team of IT and Project Management Professionals

  • Managing the IT budget

Strategy Development and Execution

  • Collaborate with Market management to create Business Information Plan that indicates

  • impact of the business strategy on the products/services, processes, information systems and technologies and the migration path towards the future landscape

  • Proactively partner with and challenge the market leadership the IT demand and needs developing solutions that bring value to the market organization and their customer

PIO (Philips Integration Officer)

  • Manage and lead the End2End Project Management Team ensuring the that End2 End projects are properly supported by a Project Management Team

  • Drive Adoption of the new processes and ways of working by the market

Operations and Support

  • Delivery of first line support for global services against agreed service levels & costs

  • Participate in global IT programs and services

  • Managing contracts with external partners regarding local IT services

  • Deliver local (legal/fiscal) projects

  • Drive global project rollouts on local sites

  • Deploy global processes whenever possible and enforce the use of them. Infrastructure Operations management

You are a part of IT Team for International market at Philips and you will support Market Management in the implementation of End2End and Transformational projects and is responsible for providing IT services in line with Philips policies to all Philips Businesses/sites in the UK and Ireland.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree recommended in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Marketing, or other related field.

  • Minimum 8 years of equivalent work experience.

  • Excellent relationship and organizational skills with ability to create effective relationships with Market Management, Global IT and the PIO.

  • Must understand applications, infrastructure, and supplier management. Requires strong operational skills in applications, infrastructure, and the key components.

  • Must be well versed in how Philips operates and understand concepts like ITIL, Agile and Lean.

  • Must have well developed interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Must have skills in motivating, managing and developing staff.

  • Be able to understand and manage financials.
