Philips Solutions Marketing Manager in Guildford, United Kingdom

In this role, you have the opportunity to take ownership and driving the marketing strategy for the Solutions business in the UK, as well as collaborating with global colleagues and helping shape the future strategy of Philips.

As the Marketing Manager you will plan and implement the marketing strategy for your business area, through market insights, strategy creation, empowered marketing planning, execution and budget management.

A key part of your role will also be supporting the Solutions team with launching new propositions to market, including customer segmentation, competitor research and sales enablement.

You will also be responsible for creating and executing a joint marketing strategy with our existing Managed Service customers, as per contractual commitments.

Your specific areas of responsibility include:

Shaping the Solutions strategy

  • Lead marketing planning activities including the development of the marketing strategy, prioritization of budget and resources, and liaison with key stakeholders.

  • In collaboration with the Head of Solutions, lead the annual business planning process (BMCs) across Solutions business

  • You will work with the Solutions team on launching new propositions to the market, building and localizing value propositions, driving customer segmentation and targeting approach and jointly developing the sales strategy & route to market with relevant business owners

Marketing planning and execution

  • Providing dedicated focus and ownership of local marketing plans for the Solutions business across UK&I

  • You will work closely with the marketing, sales and business teams to deliver activity that aligns to our business objectives and helps reach our financial targets for the year

  • Build bespoke engagement strategy and assets for key projects in collaboration with sales

  • Lead the development of a KOL programme for the Solutions business

  • You will be responsible for creating joint communications plans with our existing MS customers, working closely with Operations Managers, ensure customer satisfaction, while building a pool of Philips KOLs

  • Create coherent communications narrative, across the Solutions portfolio in the UK, building on existing tools and global developments

  • Maintain and optimize website for Solutions, based on new portfolio additions and data insights

  • Local marketing activation planning; creating and executing always-on and burst campaigns (aligned with the strategy and budget) to run throughout the year, work with the Marketing Lead and wider marketing team to ensure these compliment the overall health systems strategy

  • You will own the budget and track against set KPI’s, with delivery of pre-agreed annual KPIs

Other responsibilities:

  • You will have responsibility for bespoke projects, including planning, timing, budgeting, and oversight of projects to ensure successful implementation.

  • Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring the corporate identity and brand behaviours are correctly presented in all activities

  • Lead the planning for quarterly Solutions team meetings, to ensure engagement and best practice sharing

  • Day-to-day management of Junior Marketing Executive

You are a part of the Solutions Leadership Team and help shape the healthcare strategy within Philips, as well have influence over the global Solutions strategy. You will also be part of the wider UK&I marketing team, working with a dynamic group of marketers, to drive MROI. Working with local and global colleagues, this role offers excellent exposure to the wider Philips business and in turn progression opportunities both locally and internationally. You will report into the Head of Solutions and this role is based in our Guildford office where we have an agile working environment.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • B2B marketing experience, ideally with experience in a services or solutions oriented businesses.

  • Excellent program, project and time management and execution skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Ability to think strategically and translate data insights into actionable strategies for the business

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Self-starter, who is able to work independently and engage relevant stakeholders where appropriate to drive results

  • Ability to translate business strategy, product features and customer insights into winning value propositions

  • Developing and executing multi-modality marketing strategies, ideally within the healthcare sector, or if not similar B2B environment

  • Commercially-minded marketer that can apply this thinking creatively

  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills with the ability to form relationships and work successfully in a diverse environment

  • Budget management and ability to prioritise and maximise marketing investments based on expected results

  • Strong ability in terms of attention to detail, organisation & interpersonal skills

  • Stakeholder management in a large organization
