Job Title: Accounting Specialist

Job location: Gurgaon, NCR

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Drive the RTR Process for organization units assigned to you with an objective to secure an accurate bookkeeping and reconciled balance sheet within corporate deadlines for Philips, and coordinates with Infosys to ensure that bookings / accounting is accurately and timely maintained and verifies compliance with accounting standards and regulations (PAP, IFRS, local regulations).

You are a part of

Accounting Operations RTR Team in India directly and part of the Finance organization for Indian Market. India is a key growth market for Philips

You are responsible for

  • Coordinate with Infosys to ensure that bookings / accounting is accurately and timely maintained.

  • Review that all balances are correctly held and that adequate reconciliations are available with appropriate documentation.

  • Verify compliance with accounting standards and regulations (PAP, IFRS, local regulations)

  • Maintain control, allocation, recording and physical verification processes for Philips fixed assets and Payroll accounting activities.

  • Support the local ORUs and Infosys in providing accurate and timely data for group consolidation & reporting (Month End Close)

  • Provide accurate & timely data for fiscal reporting and other requirements.

  • Complete Internal Controls work in accordance with the Internal Control Standard (ICS) tool on a timely and accurate basis.

  • Responsible for accounting processes for one or more ORUs

  • Manages period end closing process for one or more ORUs

  • Manages relevant internal controls for one or more ORUs

  • Interacts with Accounting controller, Infosys and where needed finance business partner to ensure smooth RTR processes and smooth preparation of financial accounts for one or more ORUs

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • A professional qualification in Finance (CA or MBA Finance from Premier institution)

  • 3-5 years of experience in Finance Operations, preferably in RTR in a multi-unit, multi-location company.

  • Sound inter-personal skills

  • Team player

  • Stakeholder management skills
