Philips Manufacturing Engineer in Haifa, Israel

Position summary:

Manufacture Engineer is responsible for raw materials, production processes performance in all aspects: Quality, Regulatory, Cost, and capacity. Active participant in product design in terms of manufacturability and process flow. Plan, design and co-ordinate engineering projects related to the manufacturing process. Incumbents coordinate with R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Procurement and other teams to meet operational and cost-efficiency objectives and recommend engineering changes to complement business goals. Troubleshooting of equipment problems and improvement of production capacity, quality and/or efficiencies by performing a variety of engineering functions. Keeps abreast of technical developments in own field through literature, technical contacts and industry competition.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the performance of manufacturing processes.

  • Support of equipment problems and improvement of production capacity, quality and efficiencies by performing a variety of engineering functions.

  • Defines production processes that meet design criteria, verifies and validates the processes.

  • Write work instructions and procedures for the line operators.

  • Work with suppliers to maintain & improve the quality of raw materials.

  • Write department procedures, presents findings and makes recommendations to clients and management.

  • Participate in failure analysis and problem solving teams.

  • Lead and introduce new work methods and support IT infrastructures as SAP.

Education/Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • B.Sc. Degree in Engineering. Preferably: Mechanical.

  • At Least 3 years of relevant professional engineering experience in product lines.

  • Experience in versatile production processes, and high volume production lines (could also be from the Product Quality side) – an advantage.

  • Good technical abilities and technical curiosity.

  • Leadership and organizational soft skills.

  • Fluent English.
