In this role, you have the opportunity to lead and manage all procurement engineering activities at the Haifa Israel site for the Computed Tomography/Advanced Molecular Imaging (CT/AMI) business. The business partner understands product context end to end and delivers business strategies including strategic cost management. The business partner owns the DfX concept and competence and ensures alignment with all other functional disciplines, stakeholders and relevant other business entities to drive procurement strategy.
You are responsible for
Participate on the site MT and drive Procurement strategies that meet the business and product portfolio needs
Support the development of Procurement Strategy for CT/AMI business with site spend responsibilities of €90M and 122 suppliers
Leads the Haifa site Procurement Engineering Team including retention and coaching the team
Drive first time right on Suppliers selection on NPIs and manage procurement activities on sustainable products with high quality, predictable delivery & optimum cost from supply base
Responsible for managing the product context within procurement via DfX concept, interfacing with all other functional disciplines.
Achieves product cost reduction through value engineering/DfX and supply chain optimization
Acts as interface to the Commodity Cluster Leaders to ensure business objectives are aligned
Ensures site Procurement Engineering related risks are controlled and mitigated
Defines procurement requirements and business drivers for supply strategy for in/outsourcing decisions
Aligns Product & Technology Roadmaps with suppliers
Ensures early supplier involvement in Product Design Process
Manages the link between the new product introduction process with supplier selection
Secures S&OP linkage to component availability
Ensures development of cost & quality roadmaps & linkage to margin management
Manages development of Target Cost model of products
Manages standardization & complexity reduction (concept improvement)
You are a part of
Procurement Engineering group for CT/AMI.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
B.S. in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Electronic Engineering
MS in engineering preferred
7-10 or more years of proven design engineering and project management experience leading cross-functional teams
Experience leading global projects
Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
Experience working in more than one functional area (operations, engineering, sourcing, quality, etc.)
Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and working in a regulated industry
Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, Power Point, and Word required
Ability to lead by influencing
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Previous experience in supplier management and/or development
Understanding of six sigma and lean methodology
Understanding in applying cost models and productivity initiatives
