Master Thesis Medical Image Processing is addressing technologies widely used in different imaging modality in the healthcare system today. Its application ranges from image segmentation for diagnostic imaging using computed tomography systems to therapy planning, guidance and large-scale data analytics for population based medical decision support systems. Careful system analysis as well as application specific processing algorithms are essential to generate successful clinical applications based on medical image processing.
In the context of actual research projects, we offer several interesting topics for master thesis in the area of machine based learning on multi-modal volumetric image data.
Student of Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics or Electrical Engineering
Excellent programming skills (C/C++, Python)
Excellent understanding of mathematics and image processing algorithms
Knowledge in the areas of medical physics, numerical mathematics and image processing are advantageous.
Team player and strong communicator
Work on own initiative, quick learner and willing to share knowledge
Good English and German skills
Excellent grades are expected
