Philips Project Manager Operations Processes (m/w/d) in Hamburg, Germany


In this position you have the opportunity,

to establish and optimize our manufacturing processes in Hamburg and in our international factories in China.

You will be responsible for the following topics

  • Comprehensive conception, coordination, and management of the projects in Operations with a focus on digitization and data management in order to implement the corresponding strategic roadmap (budget, project content, times...).

  • Change management in the event of structural changes to working methods in production or operations engineering.

  • Solution of conflicts between projects.

  • Innovative, cross-location equipment concepts and projects that affect the entire production and factory engineering as well as related areas. Also including the development of new solutions (Industry 4.0) and their introduction.

  • Technical conception of the strategic roadmap of the Factory Engineering department with regard to Data Management & Digitalization.

  • Ensure a reliable and effective goods flow within manufacturing

  • Design/improve the control process of the end-to-end process from demand, material and production planning, and execution

  • Develop goods flow planning, simulation, and visualization for decision making with all factory stakeholders in order to achieve delivery, quality, productivity and inventory targets

  • Drive out inefficiencies from the manufacturing goods flow via establishing effective control of processes to meet agility requirements

  • Define, develop and implement state of the art tools and digitalization to enable achieving above goals

  • Manage the required changes and lead establishing the approach/culture of integrally steering the chain (anticipating further upstream and downstream aspects)

  • Be accountable for the productivity improvement of the goods flow-related processes within manufacturing

  • Managing the quality of planning related master data in close co-operation with Enterprise Information Management (EIM).

  • Responsible to generate a feasible/ final Master Production Schedule (MPS) from the Initial/ semi-final Master Production Schedule provided by the Supply Planning function.

  • Responsible to generate a feasible Detailed Production Schedule (DPS) from the Master Production Schedule (MPS), while minimizing the changeover times in co-operation with Production/ Operations Management.

  • Optimize utilization of workforce and equipment

  • Responsible for the Material Requirements Plan (MRP) with support of Operational Buyers.

  • Responsible to manage buffer/ supermarket stocks based on Demand Driven Materials Requirement Planning (DDMRP) principles.

  • Responsible for organizing and chairing the daily/ weekly planning handshake meetings with Production/ Operations Management.

  • Monitoring of inventory levels of finished goods, semi-finished goods, and raw materials.

To be successful in this position, you need the following knowledge and experience

  • Successfully completed (Master's degree) in logistics, process management or comparable qualification (MBA)

  • Experience in the implementation of a new ERP system and in the management of problems that arise

  • High affinity to financial processes and cooperation with Q&A

  • A basic prerequisite for this position is in principle a willingness to work in an Asian country for up to 2 years.

  • Methodical problem-solving competence (Six Sigma / PRIDE/ Shainin)

  • Basic knowledge in the field of X-ray technology and material sciences

  • At least 10 years of professional experience

  • Strong communication skills and a high passion for technology and electronics

  • Structured working methods and a high degree of personal initiative

  • Very good knowledge of German and English
