Job Title: Project Manager
In this role, you have the opportunity to:
Responsible for End-to-End managing of a project to develop a product: From the initial start until the introduction in the Market.
Responsible for gaining agreements on and achieving project objectives, balancing schedule, cost, quality and requirements. Ensuring effective introduction of products. Manages the scope and requirements. Manages the internal and external stakeholders. Manages the business case and is a business partner focused on maximization of the added value for the business. Manages projects ensuring execution is in line with project guidelines and directives. Determines project risks, defines corrective action and drives the projects to closure. Determines, allocates, and directs all project resources in accordance with guidelines. Keeps abreast of developments in project management tools and processes (both internal and external). Ensures compliance to corporate policies/rules/procedures.

You are responsible for:
Is involved in formulating the overall project assignment and having the assignment and plan approved by management, in consultation with the relevant functions and other stakeholders/parties involved, on base of requirements and business case
Ensures Requirements and business case are defined, completed and approved
Builds and maintains the project organization, chooses the way of working and selects the adequate tools (tailors the approach to the specific project) and defines the interfaces with other functions, internal and external Philips
Defines the risks of the project (e.g. specs, costs, planning, etcetera) and develops scenarios to overcome these risks
Directs employees and gives them operational guidance, both technically and organizationally (where necessary, directs sub-Project Leaders)
Is responsible for implementation and realization according to the project plan (specification, quality, time, money, information) and organization
Is responsible for quality initiatives to ensure quality deliverables of subsystems delivered
Deploys process improvements and makes the project organization efficient and transparent, in line with departmental and project processes
Represents the project team in the business and provides business management with regular project performance status updates, variances to plan and identification of corrective actions
Manages internal and external stakeholders
Ensures that there is an effective transfer and archiving of the project results and the associated knowledge
Reports on employees’ performance to the hierarchical superior of the employees for the purpose of appraisal and makes proposals for training the project members when shortcomings are observed
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
Specific knowledge of technical engineering of the relevant technical discipline and related disciplines or specific functional knowledge in the relevant functional discipline and related disciplines
Professional knowledge of project management methods, and estimation techniques (resources, time and risks) for the relevant technical/functional discipline. Preferably certified PMP professional or equivalent
Soft skills like people management, team management
Negotiation skills; managing Subcontractors
More than 10 years of experience in project management or product development or relevant disciplines, with at least 3 years in managing complex or high-risk projects
Master degree in engineering or relevant discipline
Fluency in English and Mandarin
Able to travel frequently
