In this role, you have the opportunity to

Join one of our key growth areas, Mother & Child Care category (Philips Avent). As a Sub-Business Innovation lead for Breastfeeding portfolio, it is up to you to ensure, together with your marketing counterpart, that the Healthy Feeding portfolio business plans and roadmaps are created and that resources are planned. To lead this initiative and the I2M process, we are looking for a Sub-business Innovation Lead, Director responsible for the development and realization of new product propositions for the Healthy Feeding portfolio of Philips Avent Next to that, you initiate, plan, steer and control all Healthy Feeding business R&D and Lifecycle projects integrally according to market and regulatory needs, available budget and resources.

You are responsible for

As a Sub-Business Innovation Lead you are responsible for:

  • Defining most competitive innovation strategy

  • Having a strong roadmap that delivers the business growth.

  • Ensuring that the roadmap is translated into projects.

  • Ensuring that the projects are delivered in time, within budget and on quality.

  • Driving resolution for all product related issues in the market.

  • Driving Consumer-Centric Innovation, product superiority and Open Innovation.

  • Integrating Philips, partners and suppliers functions and drive x-functional x-site x-partner and x- cultural collaboration.

  • Ensuring that lean practices (visual controls, standardized tasks, 'go-and-sees' etc) are established and maintained

  • Informing all stakeholders pro-actively on the status of the projects and all technical issues.

  • Realizing the development of the competence (including the domain specific competence) in the extended Healthy Feeding Innovation Team

You are a part of

the Innovation Team and report to Mother & Child Care's Innovation Lead. The Healthy Feeding team consists, in the start-up phase of, of 15 product developers on innovations as well as lifecycle management. The team daily interacts with Industrial Designers, Advanced Manufacturing Engineers, Process Engineers and 3rd parties. The presence in South China is instrumental to leverage manufacturers competencies, by own end-to-end the proposition creation to launch.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Very solid experience in Project Management leading role, preferably PMP certified.

  • MSc in Engineering related field such as Mechanics, Electronics, Mechatronics.

  • At least 10 years of experience in various research, product development, project management and development leadership roles.

  • Proven experience of developing consumer-related products from concept development to market launch with key involvement in the industrialization phase. Preferably in the field of consumer electronics, small domestic appliances.

  • Strong communicator and relationship-builder within a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment

  • Your scope is Regional- a travel percentage in the region is 10-25% is part of this role
