In this role, you have the opportunity to represent the Philips brand and interests of the Personal Health Business (Consumer Products) in South Africa market. In addition to developing and executing the strategic and tactical sales plans to exceed financial targets, you will build relationships with the Key Account channels and increase brand presence in the market.

You are responsible for

  • Building short and medium term strategy for key accounts, with experience in dealing with buyers, planners and Merchandise executives.

  • Creating joint value between different key accounts and Philips with a focus on driving up sell across categories realizing improved margins for both.

  • Participating in defining and controlling of the implementation of the business policy, pricing strategy and configuration to be sold to the customer according to established guidelines.

  • Working closely with the Key Account team assisting and guiding the implementation of “Fact Based Selling”

  • Supporting the Sales Manager in achievement of business goals including balanced selling, AOP attainment and validating forecasts.

  • Collaborating with Marketing with input on sales tools, pricing issues and competitive threats, which enable Marketing to best support their categories and provide input to relevant BG/BIU.

  • Working together with Marketing Managers and Business Marketing Managers to build category and product solutions for allocated key accounts.

  • Preparing and delivering accurate business forecasting, on both quantity and value.

You are a part of Personal Health team in South Africa and you will report to the District Manager for Personal Health business for Southern Africa.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree level education or equivalent.

  • Proven track record in leading a sales team across various channels.

  • Extensive knowledge of the South African retail landscape.

  • Knowledge of the small appliance or electronics industry in South Africa.

  • Experience in working within an international organization.

  • Extensive knowledge on developing and maintain Key accounts.

  • Knowledge of channel structures and understand channelization.

  • Knowledge of pricing strategies.

  • Fluent in English (both verbal and written)
