Philips Key Account Manager, Personal Health South Africa in Johannesburg, South Africa


In this role, you have the opportunity to represent the Philips brand and interests of the Personal Health Business (Consumer Products) in South Africa market. In addition to developing and executing the strategic and tactical sales plans to exceed financial targets, you will build relationships with the Key Account channels and increase brand presence in the market.

You are responsible for

  • Developing, maintaining and improving relations with existing and potential customers in the assigned district/area.

  • Creating the yearly sales plan, with help of sales management, to set targets and to plan actions and MarCom deliverables.

  • Creating, together with the internal order desk, of optimal offers to the accounts.

  • Initializing customer tailored sales actions and supporting national sales actions.

  • Monitoring the quality of the realization of the actions, improving contact between the internal service and the customers to get a good result of the actions.

  • Presenting and explaining the local product portfolio and supporting the national promotions.

  • Reporting regularly on sales results and expectations, market and competition and trends to inform about the situation.

You are a part of Personal Health team in South Africa and you will report to the Business Development Manager, Mass Retail.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree level education or equivalent.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the electronics or FMCG industries.

  • Good knowledge of the South African retail landscape.

  • Experience in working within an international organization.

  • Good knowledge on developing and maintain Key accounts.

  • Knowledge of channel structures and understand channelization.

  • Knowledge of pricing strategies.

  • Fluent in English (both verbal and written)
