Philips is looking for passionate Engineers in the Industrial, Manufacturing, Production or Process Engineering field. You will be responsible to support the development, sustaining and continuous improvement of operations, processes and systems that will allow Philips to meet its customer commitments.
You will lead the continuous improvement of production performance by driving root causes analysis, product manufacturability and containment of quality issues.
Your challenge is to plan and execute improvements to production predictability, by cooperating with diverse functions in a complex, matrix organization. You will work in tandem with global operations, procurement, quality and regulatory, service, service parts, and order desk to support world-class operational excellence in quality, timely delivery and cost.
You are responsible for
Lead projects to improve performance in quality, timely delivery and cost
Drive product and process changes to support operational goals
Verify and/or validate manufacturing processes and procedures
Support operations by troubleshooting and providing technical expertise, for the timely closure of issues
Interact with the cross-functional team members to foresee and prevent interruptions to operations
Develop work flow (i.e., line lay-out, line balancing, equipment requirements, and assembly techniques) associated with the building of seasonal displays, product packing and repacking activities, and processing of returns
Develop product routings reflecting an optimized work-center selection, equipment utilization, and crew size
Create new, and maintain existing process documentation
Participate in the introduction of new packaging designs and associated new equipment/processes as required to minimize problems through the ITM and LCS processes
Assist in process characterizations, qualifications, and validations
Provide training and technical support as required to enhance the skills of other engineers, technicians and operators
Be part of a quality culture of compliance and continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in all areas of work
Share and implement best practices across products
Identify and evaluate cost impacts of packaging variables to include material prices, labor requirements, and overhead coverage
Develop cost per unit estimates for new, upcoming products from idea generation through initial implementation onsite
Review quarter over quarter costing changes for built finished goods and their components.

The Operations Team, reporting into the Operations Team Market Leader for Personal Health (North America). This role will sit in Lockbourne, OH.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor’s degree, in a relevant major such as Industrial, Manufacturing, Packaging Engineering, with 5+ years of related experience
Experience in leading projects to improve performance in quality, timely delivery and cost in a production environment
Proven ability to interact with customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company
Proven ability to lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team
Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise
Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with all levels of the organization
Lean Six Sigma experience
