Philips Content Management Specialist in Lodz, Poland


In this role you will have the opportunity to

Take responsibility manage the content, translations, database structure and metadata, for our technical documentation as used by Customer Project Managers, hospitals and building contractors in multiple markets around the world. Our technical documentation is modularly designed to allow a semi-automatic generation and customization per customer project. Schema ST4 is the core tool for this service.

You will work closely with our Modality Experts in Eindhoven (the Netherlands) who provide you with the content to be implemented in the Content Management System (CMS).

You are responsible for

  • Assure implementation and operational availability of new content as per agreed cycle times

  • Assure an advanced but solid and simple database structure to enable easy maintenance

  • Maintain the current library of technical documentation

  • Create new document structures for new Philips products (content provided by other team members)

  • Coordinate and Implement translations after content additions and changes (in-house and third party)

  • Actively drive database and process optimization

  • Document modifications and improvements of the tool/structure

  • Create & maintain user/administrator instructions

  • Contribute to operational document generation. Understanding and experiencing the operation is essential input for your solutions

You are part of

The role is reporting into the Site Planning Center of Excellence (CoE) in Eindhoven but physically located in the Site Planning Operations Center EMEA in Lodz (Poland). The CoE leads the Site Planning function on a global basis by enabling, amongst others: Performance management, knowledge management, processes & ways of working, tools & infrastructure.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Relevant working experience with Content Management Systems: Set-up, creation/maintenance

  • Experience with the CMS tool Schema ST4 (alternatively: AuthorIt, Hyperdoc, MadCap Flare, Tim-RR)

  • Experience with style sheets (CSS, XSL-FO) and XML (XMetaL)

  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator and above average MS-Excel skills

  • Documenting skills

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities

  • Quality mindset

  • Thorough, structured and accurate in all aspects of design, development, documentation and communication

  • Strong analytical skills and a natural curiosity for database structures

  • Fluent in English, ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and spoken form

  • Able to work independently as well as in a (virtual/international) team environment

  • Affinity to work in a dynamic environment facing changes and challenges
