Are you interested in an Intern opportunity with Philips? We welcome currently enrolled undergraduate (BS) and graduate (MS) level students to participate in 3-month paid intern opportunities at our sites across the US. Through these roles you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience in engineering for a HealthTech company.

Sales Intern Position

The Philips Sales internship program is a summer program that will provide an opportunity to learn how sales works, and how to build successful sales plans in a CPG environment. You will be challenged with varying tasks and projects that are critical to the sales function at Philips, and you will be given responsibility and ownership of your projects. Based on the needs of the business and the opportunities available within the organization, successful internships may result in regular, full-time positions in business/category analysis or account management.

Responsibilities:

As a Sales intern, you will contribute as a member of our sales team, with several key responsibilities:

· Develop knowledge, awareness and understanding of the consumer products and related industries

· Understand the consumer

· Understand our brands and the competition

· Learn and practice key elements of business planning and forecasting

· Learn and practice selling skills

· Identify and analyze category/segment trends

· Identify opportunities for sales growth at retail

· Optimize shelf conditions at the store level

· Monitor competitive activity

· Participate in customer events that strengthen our brands and market share

· Cultivate internal and external working relationships that provide exposure to multi-disciplines, account management and customer teams

Qualifications :

  • Must be enrolled in a University Business (BBA) program (minimum 3rd year)

  • Previous selling, merchandising and/or customer service experience is an asset.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Eagerness to take on significant responsibilities

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
