Your Opportunity

Due to an internal promotion, an exciting new position has become available for an experienced Sales/ Sleep Diagnostic professional to join our highly skilled team to be based in Melbourne, VIC. As a Technical Sales Specialist, you will play an integral role in increasing our market share by being the technical expert for our internal and external stakeholders in relation to Philips Sleep and Respiratory Care (SRC) Sleep Diagnostic and Compliance Patient Monitoring product portfolio across Australia and New Zealand. You will be responsible for earning the trust of the customer by providing them consultation and sales support around the products and services that will allow them to be successful at delivering exceptional patient care. With the focus on differentiating our solutions technically from our competition and helping to drive technical standardisation, which is delivered, via strategic design & deployment of our technical solutions to meet our end-user and customer needs.

Furthermore, you will play a strategic role in building and maintaining strong customer relationships with both internal and external customers and influence customer decision journey with your deep understanding of customers’ key value drivers, customer-specific clinical and technical needs and Philips internal SRC sales process. As a result, you will be the technical product expert within the business and an advisor for different business areas (Hospital, Distribution, Sleepeasy and Pharmacy) in regards to designing a customer specific solutions offerings and recommendations. You will take ownership of the continuum of services including installation, implementation, consulting and education services along with post-implementation maintenance and support.

Further Responsibilities:

  • Be a technical advocate for the customer-escalated situations and participate in Lifecycle Management process to ensure successful customer outcomes, confirm solution is ready for clinical use, and provide support at go-live.

  • Play a crucial role in ongoing customer experience by assessing and tracking customer clinical outcomes, satisfaction, report customer issues to appropriate channels and partner closely with the wider SRC team to deliver ongoing customer engagement.

  • Develop a strong knowledge of markets, competitors, and industry trends for products and participate as an active member of the team, sharing your experience and knowledge with the others.

We are looking for :

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in capital equipment sales and diagnostic testing and Obstructive Sleep Aponea is highly desirable

  • Ideally tertiary qualification/ certification in Science or IT

  • Must have either sleep studies/diagnostic sleep testing, CPAP, and understand Sleep Apnea, testing, both hospital and privately owned sleep centres.

  • Proven knowledge of therapy report interpretation, Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and Windows 7 & 10, SAP, SQL Servers and data card servers highly desirable

  • Demonstrated capability of trouble shooting and understanding of computer networks and database structure is also required to perform the role.

  • Strong communication skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities
