Philips Order to Fulfillment Lead in Monroeville, Pennsylvania

In this role, you have the opportunity to

The Order to Fulfillment Lead will focus on three main areas: Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Product Industrialization and Delivery strategy. Driving operational excellence, efficiency, availability, quality and lead-time and developing long-term plans to support business expectations. Other key areas are building Design for Manufacturability / Design for Supply Chain Management (DfM/ DfSCM) processes, and in collaboration with R&D and other functions develops technology roadmaps, core/non-core assessments, make-or-buy decisions, Capital Expenditures (CAPEX) investments, customizations strategies, first-time-right New Product Introduction (NPI) and establishing a culture of continuous improvement.

You are responsible for

Strategic

  • Develops and drives Order To Cash (O2C) strategy, aligned with the business Strategic Plan of Record (SPOR) in strong collaboration with overall Philips O2C and Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Strategy

  • Applying LEAN methods, Drives operational excellence and continuous improvement throughout the O2C processes in the businesses

  • Develops long term planning that supports business expectations on Customer metrics, Comparable Sales Growth (CSG) / Margin including downstream supply chain on capacity planning and reservation (insourced Manufacturing (MFG) but also Suppliers), and investment in skills/equipment

  • Works with R&D and other functions to develop Technology Roadmap for business and core/non-core assessment and make or buy decisions in close collaborations with O2C Strategy

  • Responsible for optimal lead time, quality and lower costs, including strategies for subassemblies, late stage customization, merge strategies, etc.

Financial

  • Leads the executive S&OP decision making process for the business in tight cooperation with the ISC and markets

  • Ensures efficiency and cost-effectiveness of Operations through New products DFM and other standards and tools

  • Manages the Operations function's cost in line with AOP

  • Consolidates yearly CAPEX budget. Prepares multi-year manufacturing operation and investment plans.

  • Drives Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) performance collaboratively (Supply Chain Management (SCM), Factory, Procurement Engineering, Commodity Management functions, Quality & Regulatory (Q&R) and Health & Safety) based on metrics, root cause analysis and root cause corrective actions

Operational

  • Through the operations (Ops) leadership team, ensures execution of the End to End (E2E) industrialization process

  • Accountable for optimized Business S&OP process

  • Establishes culture of continuous improvement

  • Flawless execution of New Product Launches (including matters of Quality, Portfolio, Launch Plans and Industrialization)

  • Coordinates E2E (equipment) inventory

  • Ensures that Operation and Supply escalations are properly addressed.

  • Supports business M&A due diligence and post-completion integrations

Customer and Quality

  • Increases customer satisfaction by improved quality and delivery

  • Develops plans for customers allocations & Available To Promise rules

  • Ensures flexibility and availability in line with customer requirements and metrics

People

  • Develops and shares ops talent, requiring skills and behaviors fit for the future

  • Develops strong partnerships spirit with the Business, SCM, Procurement, Head of Manufacturing, and Q&R

  • Manages pipeline of talent for the business and ISC organization

  • Aligns and provides competent resources and resource capabilities with Research & Development (R&D) leader and ISC focusing on Design for Manufacturability. Design for Supply Chain and Design for Automation.

You are a part of

In this role you will be a core member of our Sleep and Respiratory Care Management Team. You will drive strategy in close collaboration with Functional Business Leadership Partners (Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Procurement)

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred

  • Experience in healthcare and/or medical device manufacturing is required

  • 10+ years of progressive experience within Manufacturing Engineering/ Product Industrialization, including experience holding operations/supply chain leadership roles

  • Experience in demand planning and sales and operation planning

  • 8+ years of direct people management

  • 5+ years of international experience (job with global influence preferred

  • Experience in service operations preferred

  • Proven experience and mastery of Operational Excellence, LEAN, & Six Sigma

  • Experience in optimizing Manufacturing footprint

  • Experience in managing business cases transition (internal/outsourced)
