Philips Procurement Engineering Business Partner in Monroeville, Pennsylvania

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Be the expert in translating business needs into procurement solutions for the Sleep business. You will collaborate with the Philips Commodity, Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality organizations.

You are responsible for

  • Achieve product and value chain optimization through DFX methodologies and tools by cross-functional cooperation within the business

  • Provide Procurement leadership and vision to enable the organization’s short and long term objectives

  • Ensures that the Procurement related risks (cost, quality, availability) are controlled and mitigated

  • Develop and deploy procurement strategies in the Business

  • Capture supplier innovation through ESI in product and business creation to optimize propositions and achieve the best value for Philips and its customers

You are a part of

Your team will include Procurement Engineers with expertise in Mechanical, Electro-mechanical and Electrical supply domain. This expertise supports the Oxygen business, which is part of the Sleep and Respiratory Care business group within Philips.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelors of Science – Engineering and/or MBA

  • Strong leadership experience of greater than 5 years preferred, with strong presence and problem solving skills

  • Experience working through technical problems with internal (design/supplier quality engineers) and external (Supplier/Contract Manufacturer) parties.

  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis and Troubleshooting resolution.

  • Ability to identify and drive component design, material selection, and margin improvement opportunities.

  • Ability to evaluate supply base trends with respect to manufacturing systems, quality issues, and processes and act on the subsequent data collected for the purpose of analysis strongly preferred.
