The Senior Global Product Manager is the pivotal marketing role in the Business Group and drives creation of solutions (integrated combination of products and services) from idea to market. The Senior Global Product Manager owns the product lifecycle from concept phase through development and launch and eventually, end of life. The Senior Global Product Manager is required to have deep expertise in market segmentation, product strategy, competitive strategy, and product development. The Senior Global Product Manager will also work directly with R&D and other marketing functions to ensure the products/solutions are developed to the feature and price specifications that each target market segment demands.
This role is a lifecycle global product management position that will have critical responsibility to manage and grow several high-growth product lines. Business acumen, communication skills, and customer focus will be critical to success for this role.
You are responsible for
Serve as a leader of several active and growing oxygen therapy product lines
Perform lifecycle global product management by working across R&D, service and operations to develop integrated offerings that meet the needs of priority customer segments, tailored by market
Develop business requirements for new product and enhancements to existing products; work with R&D on functional specifications and feature/function prioritization
Introduce sustaining innovations to existing product lines
Work closely with sales and marketing to develop winning value propositions for oxygen therapy business.
Develop an intimate knowledge of global customer needs and competitors, identify global market trends and drivers, and formulate and execute a strategic marketing plan.
Develop business cases for new products and services for consideration in the portfolio management process
Work with Field Marketing to enable the market sales teams
Conduct customer executive presentations, coordinated as part of sales campaigns with priority customers
Own development of global new product/solution training content
Ability to synthesize market and customer feedback and existing and new products into solutions; comfortable with making tradeoffs, decisively
Boldness to create/shape markets whenever possible, exploiting Philips technologies, market positions and brand
Expertise delivering complex projects to meet demanding feature, cost, quality and introduction date targets
Demonstrable communication skills and ability to lead an organization to develop market leading products/solutions
Fluent in hardware and software product development, including quality and reliability techniques

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering related discipline; MBA preferred
5+ years in marketing, product development or related field
Experience in high-tech, healthcare/med-tech solutions businesses
Demonstrated leadership in product development (taking products from conception to release), product management, and project management, required
Demonstrated knowledge of marketing processes, strategic planning and budgeting
Skilled in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) required
Comfortable traveling 20-30% of the time
