Philips Warehouse Clerk (2nd shift) in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania

Your Challenge:

You will be responsible for executing all phases of parcel shipping as well as specialty services within the Mount Pleasant, PA facility. Fulfillment of customer orders quickly and accurately while printing, picking, packing, data entering, and manifesting.

2nd shift: 3:15 pm to 11:15 pm Monday through Friday

Your Responsibilities

• Record items taken from inventory & document when completed.

• Complete orders as part of a team or individually: picking orders & wrapping or packing orders in shipping containers.

• Address & label packages, compute freight rates & record the weight & cost of each shipment.

• Receive, unpack, check and stock materials.

• Prepare shipping documents & labels; ensure orders have been completed correctly.

• Sort, organize, and mark items with identifying labels, such as inventory codes, so that inventories can be located quickly and easily.

• Perform a broad variety of duties relative to fulfillment of customer orders.

• Pick the items listed on an order and place in to carton, verify location, unit of measure and product against pick ticket.

• Review order for partial shipment and handle according to procedure to ensure accurate order and invoicing for customer.

• Follow all applicable procedures outlined within the quality system.

• Maintain exceptional housekeeping standards in the Distribution Center.

• Assure accurate, efficient, cost effective completion of customer orders with a sense of urgency.

What we are looking for:

HS or GED required

Ability to move cartons weighing up to 65 lbs.to and from trucks.

Adhere to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties.

Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers etc.

Previous experience working in a warehouse environment preferred

  • Receiving, unpacking, checking and stocking inventory, while maintaining proper documentation.

  • Prepare shipping documents and labels; ensuring orders are completed correctly, while documenting compute freight rates and recording weight and cost of each shipment.

  • Sorting, organizing, and marking items with identifying labels, such as inventory codes, so that inventories can be located quickly and easily.

  • Picking items listed on an order, placing into cartons, verifying location and confirming unit of measure and product against pick ticket.

  • Following all applicable procedures outlined within the quality system.

  • Maintaining exceptional housekeeping standards in the Distribution Center.

  • The ability to work overtime is an essential function of this 2nd shift position.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • High School diploma or GED (required)

  • 1+ year of experience working within a manufacturing or warehouse environment

  • Physical Requirements; this position requires the ability to move on a continuous basis in order to efficiently get to other work areas, frequent lifting up to 65 pounds, ability to reach and ability to use fine manipulation skills.

  • Ability to adhere to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties

  • Proficiency in using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers etc.

  • Position requires a working knowledge of Philips departmental procedures and functional activities, including Philips Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
