Philips Inventory Material Coordinator (SECOND SHIFT) in Murrysville, Pennsylvania


In this role, you have the opportunity to

Collaborate with various departments including production, warehousing, distribution, and accounting, to name a few, to improve the processes, accuracy and operational impact of material movement and inventory, within the Murrysville RIMR facility.

You are responsible for

  • Researching and analyzing SAP information related to material movement and inventory; (i.e. part number, lot number, quantity, material masters, etc.), and identifying patterns and areas of opportunity for improvement.

  • Using lean methodology and continuous improvement philosophy to lead, collaborate, develop, execute and sustain process improvements related to efficiency and accuracy of material movement and inventory in the RIMR facility.

  • Collaborating with various departments within the RIMR facility to own, modify and author changes to work instructions, business process improvements (BPIs) and quality documents.

  • Translating and presenting raw data into an easily understandable and effective format, with regular progress reports to stakeholders and leadership on relevant findings, proposals, cost benefits, implementation strategies and timelines.

  • Understanding, maintaining and applying working knowledge of production, warehouse, distribution, accounting, purchasing and IT, among other groups, in all aspects of data analysis and process improvement.

  • Proactively and professionally, communicating, corroborating, documenting and reconciling inventory discrepancies (both physical and electronic) and leading efforts to implement sustainable countermeasures.

  • Working with a high degree of urgency and purpose, while engaging with warehouse and production teams, to drive and inspire change to the benefit of the organization.

  • The ability to work overtime is an essential function of this 2nd shift (2:45-10:45 PM) position.

You will join the 2nd shift Warehouse team in Murrysville and report directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • High School Diploma or GED (REQUIRED)

  • 5 + years of experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse and/or distribution facility.

  • Must have advanced knowledge of warehouse, inventory and production processes and experienced working cross functionally among many groups (i.e. accounting, purchasing, finance, IT, etc.).

  • Strong knowledge of SAP, Excel, Lean tools and Lean methodologies (3C’s/5 Why’s).

  • Strong written and oral communication skills are required with the ability to be analytical and positively influence others.

  • Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and have the ability to maintain a high sense of urgency, adhering to project goals and timelines.
