In this role, you have the opportunity to
Own the manufacturing process from raw material delivery and storage, through packaging. As well, you will drive the process design and development, implementation, verification/validation and continuous improvement.
You are responsible for
All aspects of line design, maintenance and set up, including coordinating with partners to get utilities, fixtures, equipment and workstations installed.
Designing, developing and procuring assembly aids and fixtures.
Determining non-technical requirements; processing equipment, testing and labeling operations.
Overall capacity and line balancing including setup, maintenance and revaluation after changes.
Interfacing and supporting New Product Development and Advanced Manufacturing teams to drive manufacturing activities, implementation, product changes and continuous improvement.
Process Validation including Flow Maps, Process Failure Modes, Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Master Validation Plans (MVP).
Developing and maintaining all process validation activities.
Line Yield activities/reporting and participating in monthly product meetings/quarterly quality business reviews.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor’s Degree in related Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Industrial, Bio-Mechanical)
Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing or process engineering with Design for Manufacturability experience
Experience in a regulated industry (ex. Med Device, Pharma or Food)
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma and cost reduction
Experience with AutoCAD and statistical software packages (i.e. Minitab) (a plus)
Excellent writing, communication and organization skills in order to convey complex thoughts in straightforward manner.
Ability to work on cross-functional teams to achieve common goals
