Physical Distribution Manager

You are responsible for
Manages the Transportation, Warehousing, Logistics-Compliance and Logistics-Project responsibilities for the MA&TC Murrysville site.
Manages internal and external Logistics resources for transportation/shipping activities, receiving/warehousing activities, and all Logistics-related compliance activities (import, export, DG, Supply Chain Security).
Accountable for meeting/exceeding defined performance targets to achieve Site Operations objectives, including --- on-time shipments, defect-free shipments, compliant shipments, cost-savings and other financially focused goals, audit compliance, and personnel management requirements.
Incremental objectives and expectations will be defined as the business requirements change.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelors Degree in Business or related discipline (Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management) with 5+ years of related experience
Masters Degree preferred
Experience in a supervisor/manager role with multiple direct reports (people management skills and leadership skills).
Experience/competence in regard to WH management principles (systems, requirements, processes)
Experience/competence in regard to Transportation management principles (systems, requirements, processes, industry standards and industry suppliers)
Experience/competence with regard to understanding, managing and meeting compliance requirements (quality-systems, import/export, DG, Supply Chain Security, etc.)
Experience/competence with regard to successful completion of internal and external audits
Experience/competence in departmental budgeting and managing expenses to target.
Experience/competence in developing and implementing cost-savings projects and initiatives, including productivity-improvement focused programs.
