We are expanding our innovative sleep and respiratory portfolio and we are seeking a technical manager to lead our growing agile test automation team. This team is responsible for creating high quality test automation software for a number of our enterprise applications. Prior hands on development or test automation experience is required as this leader will strive to enhance the capabilities of this growing team through active mentoring, training and providing technical guidance, as needed.
You are responsible for
Leading an Agile test team to deliver high-quality automated testing software that scales across a multitude of fixed and cloud service assets to meet aggressive fault tolerance and performance standards.
Ensure that your team is comprised of top performers delivering at or beyond expectation. In order to achieve this, you will be expected to:
Hire exceptional people
Inspire, motivate and create a mutually respectful work environment
Set great objectives for the team and the individuals on the team
Review individual and team performance and provide regular feedback
Ensure team receives consistent training and mentoring
Ensuring that testing deliverables are at the required functional, technical, and quality levels
Ensuring that your team understands and adheres to the company’s software product development process
Championing your test team to the greater development organization to help drive process improvement and deeper collaboration
Managing proper resource allocation and overall costs

This role will initially be based in our Murrysville office. Philips will be relocating at http://www.post-gazette.com/business/development/2018/06/28/Sleep-Respiratory-Care-Business-anchor-Bakery-Square-development-Pittsburgh/stories/201806280097 this office to a new site in Bakery Square at http://bakery-square.com/neighborhood/ , one of the premier locations in Pittsburgh. This is a very exciting time to be joining Philips, as this new location will be the Sleep & Respiratory Center of Excellence. The new office is set to open in late 2020.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field
Minimum of 8 years of experience in a hands on product development or test automation role in company with an emphasis on enterprise software applications.
Advanced knowledge of and working experience with an Agile software development lifecycle
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
Hands on software development or testing experience and knowledge of C# .NET or Java applications is ideal
