Philips Director Variable Cost Productivity in Orange (OH), Ohio

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Lead the implementation of the productivity strategy focused on the product life cycle, from new product design to products released for production, by understanding structural cost drivers.

You are responsible for

  • Identifying strategic cost reduction opportunities in the product portfolio and delivering productivity solutions to design decision making and product roadmaps.

  • Driving the realization of the portfolio of productivity solutions across the CT-AMI business

  • Developing and deploying common approaches to target costing and tracking

  • Leading the development of an effective set of cost models to track “target cost” status and supporting deployment of cost awareness to design engineers.

  • Analyzing and anticipating cost trends, developing and reviewing cost forecasts, translating into impact to the business.

  • Developing key performance indicators (KPI’s) to measure project progress

  • Establishing a measurement and reporting framework to review and report project progress with key stakeholders and management teams

  • Using appropriate project management tools, communicating plans and risk management techniques to create rigor in project planning and execution

  • Leading and participating in Dfx conventions to build cost reduction business cases and funnels

  • Thought leader recognized outside the organization as a cost engineering functional expert

You are a part of

Philips Advanced Molecular Imaging is transforming patient care by providing low dose molecular and hybrid imaging solutions that enhance lesion detectability and allow the user to share diagnostic information virtually anytime, anywhere

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • B.S. in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Electronic Engineering. MS in engineering preferred.

  • 7+ years of proven design engineering and project management experience leading cross-functional teams

  • Experience leading global projects

  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Experience working in more than one functional area (operations, engineering, sourcing, quality, etc.)

  • Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and working in a regulated industry

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, Power Point, and Word required

  • Ability to lead by influencing

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
