Philips Electrical Engineer - Sustaining in Orlando, Florida

Your Challenge:

We challenge you to support Philips Healthcare as an Electrical Engineer in our Medical Consumables & Sensors (MCS) Business Innovation Unit (BIU). This person will be responsible for sustaining currently shipping products for the MR patient monitoring business.

In this role, you have the opportunity to:

The Medical Consumables and Sensors Business Innovation Unit (MCS BIU) identifies and meets customer and market needs by designing, developing, and distributing consumable and sensor products that enable clinical measurement for Philips Healthcare and non-Philips patient monitoring solutions. MCS also designs, markets and distributes to customers around the world a portfolio of products that provide developmental care solutions in perinatal markets in addition to providing global customers specialized MRI compatible patient monitoring solutions, consumables and sensors.

You will report directly to the Director of Development Engineering for MCS Specialty Care in Philips Patient Care & Monitoring Solutions (PCMS) Health Business System. This position is based in Orlando, FL and relocation is not available for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Root cause of issues with fielded multiparameter patient monitors

  • Contribute, and lead, cross functional design reviews

  • Perform engineering level test and support final verification test by test lab

The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills education and experience:

  • 3+ years of professional experience

  • BS in electrical engineering

  • Experience in digital and/or analog design

  • Passion for electronics and problem solving

  • Skill in hardware design, schematics, layout, and component selection

  • Self-starter and analytical

  • A driving desire to learn

  • Great communication skills
