In this role, you have the opportunity to
Design and develop new features for a mobile and cloud based Enterprise Application in an Agile Scrum development environment.
You are responsible for
Building Enterprise applications with keen focus on performance, resilience and quality
Working in Agile based Scrum environment to develop critical parts of a new web-based application.
Demonstrating proficiency with object oriented design and development in Java.
Assisting in design, development and automation testing of our Web, Desktop and Mobile Sleep / Respiratory software applications
Partnering with development team members to enable a continuous integration environment that sustains high productivity levels
Applying the appropriate Standards, Processes, Procedures, and Tools throughout the software development life cycle.
Participating in internal reviews of software components and systems

This role will initially be based in our Murrysville office. Philips will be relocating this office to a new site in Bakery Square, one of the premier locations in Pittsburgh. This is a very exciting time to be joining Philips, as this new location will be the Sleep & Respiratory Center of Excellence. The new office is set to open in early 2021.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science or similar technical field
Experience with Object-Oriented Programming in C#, JavaScript, or Python
Experience implementing and Testing Web API’s over RESTful Services
Experience implementing MVVM design Patterns in componentized architectures
Knowledge of Web Development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript technologies)
Experience with Behavioral Driven Development and Test Driven Development
Understanding and experience of Software engineering concepts, principles, and theories such as data structures, algorithms, computational complexity.
Effective communication and attention to detail
Train-on and apply new technologies to solve difficult problems.
Bonus Points
Experience with version control systems
Knowledge of Distributed systems and Cloud hosted systems
Knowledge of Code Analysis and Profiling tools.
Knowledge of Agile development practices
Experience with Issue Tracking Systems (Jira Preferred)
Experience with Cloud based architectures specifically AWS: Lambda, EC2 Compute, S3, DynamoDB, and API Gateway Server
NodeJS experience specifically IonicJS/ReactJS
Basic understanding of Microsoft .NET Framework or Microsoft .NET Core
Experience using Microsoft WPF
Experience using NoSQL databases
