Serviceability & Monitoring, Healthcare Informatics in Pleasanton, California

Your challenge

The Senior Global Product Manager plays a critical role as thought leader within the business for driving the portfolio investments for Serviceability & Monitoring for Healthcare Informatics. This position is responsible in defining the strategy and multiyear roadmap for our Serviceability & Monitoring offeringto support best in class software deployment and supportability of innovative solutions.

This position is characterized by the responsibility to define the product strategy and product plans and the translation into clear product specifications for the development department, in such a way that in short, mid and long-term sound business results can be achieved. This role has the co-responsibility for the realization of the products and the proper introduction of these products in the market. The position is not responsible for the realization of sales but supports the commercial function.

The focus will be on product strategy, product roadmap and long-term product planning, including responsibility to coordinate the linkages between the product roadmap and the technology roadmap, guiding and driving the development of new products from the initial phase until the final product in order to get the optimal combination of performance and price in time for the defined market segment.

Responsibilities

Product Manager is overall responsible for serviceability and monitoring including hardware requirements across the end-to-end radiology informatics imaging portfolio. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Become the thought leader within the business for driving the portfolio investments for responsible healthcare informatics including the Radiology PACS segment.

  • Overall responsible for serviceability and monitoring requirements across the solutions across the enterprise imaging portfolio.


  • Analyze the market, the competition, and trends on enterprise level across segment technologies to ensure the product portfolio is leading the market’s needs and expectations.

  • In collaboration with engineering, finance and operations, determine the services and enterprise monitoring technology (hardware/software) roadmap and proper configurations.

  • Develop and maintain a needs-based customer segmentation requirement (across global markets and supported by Market Intelligence).


  • Responsible in defining the strategy and multiyear roadmap for our offering.

  • Develop and communicates the product / program vision & roadmap for responsible segment.


  • Develop compelling business cases in close coordination with finance, for new product releases and services (for consideration in the portfolio management process).


  • Participate in new product introduction (NPI) activities; ensure completion of appropriate deliverables (feature descriptions, value propositions, costing/pricing/quoting materials, etc.).

  • Ensure requirements are well-understood by R&D and prioritize requirements for development timelines; encompasses planning for three Agile Release Trains (ARTs).

  • Manage the program feature backlog & define program increments for the segment investments.

  • Guide and drive the development of new products from the initial phase until the final product, to get the optimal combination of performance and price in time for the defined market segment.

  • To follow the business during the lifecycle of the product, and to take corrective actions when needed, to generate the maximum profit contribution during the whole life cycle.


  • Work with the Portfolio Management to understand the ART objectives, Budget and Portfolio and Program Epics.

  • Conduct customer executive presentations for the domain of enterprise across responsible segment.

Understands the dynamics of an “installed base” market with familiarity with enterprise serviceability and monitoring technologies, and its standards.Fluent in hardware and software- agile product development, including quality and reliability techniques. Has a superior business acumen and GM mindset, with the boldness to create/shape markets whenever possible, exploiting Philips technologies, market positions and brand. Ability to synthesize market and customer feedback, and existing and new products into solutions; comfortable with making tradeoffs decisively. Expertise in delivering complex projects to meet demanding feature, cost, quality and introduction date targets. Demonstrable communication skills and ability to lead an organization to develop market leading products/solution. High-tech product launch experience (clinical experience is a plus) with proven communication skills and ability to influence colleagues.
Ability to engage global teams and customers, with sensitivity to cultural and market differences.

We are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (HW/SW engineering, MBA preferred)

  • 5+ years in product management, services marketing, product development or related field.


  • Understands Serviceability for SaaS/PaaS/IaaS, critical cloud deployment requirements and foundational technologies and has comfort with both technical and business discussions.

  • Experience in high-tech, healthcare/med-tech solutions businesses- preferably within the Enterprise Medical Imaging domain (PACS, RIS, VNA, EMR, Advanced clinical visualization).

  • Strong technical expertise with cloud computing, enterprise IT infrastructure, enterprise-wide performance remote monitoring and service automation, predictive monitoring solutions using advanced algorithms and pattern analysis, Enterprise Clinical Data Management, PACS, VNA would be a plus.
Understanding of the hardware or software standards and emerging trends.

You are a part of The Healthcare Informatics (HI) Business Innovation Unit (BIU); reporting directly to the Senior Director, Product Marketing, Enterprise Imaging (EI). This position will work from the office in Pleasanton, CA. This role works within the Product Marketing Team, integrated with planning and execution with other disciplines such as R&D, Operations and Services. Built from the ground up to help customers improve clinical, financial and operational outcomes, the Enterprise Imaging Solution helps healthcare providers meet the changing needs of their enterprise by offering more than expected from a traditional PACS. Designed to improve the quality of care while reducing cost, providing clinical insights, aids collaboration among clinical teams, and enhances workflow.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (HW/SW engineering, MBA preferred)
