The applicant will be a member of the Instructional Design team in the Content Organization of the Shared Learning Services of Philips University. The primary ability sought is to offer turnkey instructional design solutions in over half of regular work requests. The applicant will partner with Learning Consultants and Subject Matter Experts to influence design decisions across teams, build high-quality content, tools, and templates in a rapid content development environment
You are responsible for
The applicant must demonstrate a strong understanding of design methodologies.
And therefore, it will entail—
analysis of learning aims and objectives and work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design solutions that align
application of instructional design theories and practice
development of innovative ideas for all learning media
working effectively with colleagues to create compelling and engaging deliverables
delivering quality output to clients
planning internal reviews and subsequent updates of work before delivery
Ensuring training content adheres to audio/visual technical specifications for developing learning, as well as brand guidelines, and industry best practices
production of well-written audio and video scripts for high-quality course assets
maintenance of project documentation and course folders during the project lifecycle
effective time management and work with senior team members to meet deadlines
occasional project and client management directly, when agreed with senior team members
influencing business to choose effective and functional designs and deliverables within their timeframes
You are a part of
The instructional designer will work as part of the Philips University within Shared Learning Services Group. S/he will work as part of a team on projects, and also work on their own using their initiative and take ownership of their work. When required, s/he will advise the business and help implement best solutions using instructional design across various media platforms.
They will lead and oversee the design of Learning solutions for the business in collaboration with other team members. The role is part of a team of digital designers, project managers, and graphic artists and reports to the Lead Learning Development.
The individual will have to manage their time accordingly and have strong reporting ability making sure all assets are stored appropriately and project reporting to the manager is carried out on a weekly basis.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
A science graduate
7+ years in instructional writing or technical writing, preferred
Good verbal and written communication skill
Should be from e Learning domain or from Learning team in any organisation
