In this role, you have the opportunity to provide leadership at HIC level to establish Good Operational Practices conforming to Philips Global Compliance related to EHS & Sustainability. Lead to ensure compliance to all legal requirements at HIC & directly responsible for plant compliance. Lead creation & implementation of sustainability roadmap for HIC. Lead sustainability implementation at Chakan site. Implement, maintain and improve Environmental and/or Health & Safety management systems. Meet the overall HIC level program objectives and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, industry customer and other requirements. Drive EHS culture in organisation.
IS Ops has consolidated in to a single manufacturing location to cater local & Export markets. This area requires focus on manufacturing efficiency, Purchasing and procurement effectiveness, Supply Chain control and Quality & Regulatory Compliance.
You are responsible for
Implement, maintain and improve Environmental and/or Health & Safety management systems ( ISO 14001, 1SO 45001) as Management Representative Ensure EHS program compliance with applicable requirements in cost effective way Develop EHS & Sustainability Competency within HIC Organization Develops EHS plans for HIC Organization Conducts evaluation and audits for EHS / Sustainability programs and procedures. Acts as the EHS / Sustainability contact to external stakeholders. Lead the overall HIC EHS program objectives and be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory, industry customer and other requirements for the plant. Set and achieve objectives to continually improve the EHS management systems and performance to meet changing business and regulatory needs. To develop sustainability project goals, objectives, initiatives and strategies for HIC. To develop reports or presentations to communicate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives. To assess and propose sustainability initiatives, considering factors such as cost effectiveness, technical feasibility and acceptance. To monitor or track sustainability indicators, such as energy usage, natural resource usage, waste generation, and recycling Identify & drive Sustainability projects at HIC level Ensure all expansion within HIC is governed within EHS framework using sustainability principles. Consumables & Spares : Ensure the EHS infrastructure demands are met within agreed time for all the assets and through well planned spare-parts/consumables management Train / coach employees and contractors across HIC to perform their assigned roles within EHS framework & in sustainable way and refrain from carrying out unsafe acts Works independently and provides consultative advice within specific functional areas.
To advise organizations & drive change management on how to implement green practices and to help organizations minimize the negative environmental impact of their operations
To build a culture of Health, Safety and Sustainability.
Driving consistent EHS & OHSAS management across organisation.
Train employees on concept of sustainability & execute projects based on sustainability theme
Safe building and transfer of new products and sites for manufacturing and R&D
Diverse employee base consisting of highly skilled engineers to entry level contract employees
Auditing concerned sites to ensure EHS/OHSAS compliance and help teams to do root cause analysis.
Networking with Governmental agencies and external industries through EHS associations
Obtaining funding approvals for investment towards EHS for HIC
Ensuring zero adverse incidents related to EHS across HIC
Establishes and assures adherence to schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Degree in Safety & / or Environment Engineering.(must have) Certified Internal Auditor in ISO-14001 or ISO-45001 or both (preferred)
Years of Experience: 12-14 years post qualification experience in Auto, Pharma, FMCG, Healthcare, Hospital or Hotel Industry Area of Experience: EHS management & Sustainability
Technical/Functional Competencies: EHS Systems & Processes, Coaching, Consulting and Auditing
Behavioural Competencies :
Perseverance, Assertiveness, Commitment
