In this role, you have the opportunity to
Design, develop and maintain Diagnostic X-ray (Radiography, Fluoro & Mammography) and realization of a range of products in such a way that future products options and features can be realized with acceptable effects for the earlier products. You are responsible for usability engineering and the usability of product testing, while always having the customer at the top of your mind.
You are responsible for
Translate user requirements into executable usability protocols
Responsible for planning the usability engineering activities
Responsible for conducting the FMEA on usability
Responsible for conducting formative evaluations according to plan
Responsible for creating / updating the Usability Engineering File
Collaborate and communicate with stakeholders in R&D, Clinical Science, marketing and application
Create, manage, execute usability evaluation plans to be performed across design and development of products, according to applicable medical standards on usability engineering to ensure compliance with European and American regulation
Conduct usability evaluations, expert reviews, heuristics evaluations using established usability practices and methods. Report results, draw conclusions and make recommendations for re-design and usability requirements
Record all usability goals, suggestions and guidelines at suitable intervals in project lifecycle
Participate and perform risk analysis according to applicable medical device standards
Manage usability engineering processes
Cooperate and guide business partners/ suppliers on national/international level
Support the Lead System Designer / Architects of the system / Sub-system programs in usability engineering related aspects.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Completed engineering studies at university level; BE/BTech/ME/Mtech/MS/MSc or equivalent; Interaction design with focus on Human-Computer Interaction and Usability is preferred
Total work experience 5+ years; min 3 years of work experience as an usability engineer
Proven knowledge of human factors and interaction design principles
Experience with usability methodologies, processes and standards
Knowledge of the healthcare domain, in particular experience in the operating room
Knowledge and experience in applying user centered design and usability engineering to medical devices
Experience in the creation of products from requirements analysis and specifications to validation
Excellent analytical skills and ability of reporting and communicating results to design and development teams
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to perform with multidisciplinary teams
System thinking mindset and domain expertise in the related area
