We welcome you to join Philips Image Guided Therapy (IGT) Systems as a Machinist 2 in our Rancho Cordova, CA location.
We are looking for a skilled Machinist to operate a variety of machines to perform assigned tasks.
You will produce or repair precision parts using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurements.
As a skilled machinist, you will also need to possess manual dexterity and an eye for detail and must also have knowledge of mathematics and mechanics as well as respect for safety precautions.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately produce and assemble equipment and products
Utilize hand held, and bench top tools such as a grinder or press
Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues
Maintain inventory of product in work stations
Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages
Rework and/or repair equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
Maintain a clean and safe work area
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
High School Diploma or GED
Proven experience as a machinist
Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (lathes, grinders, etc.)
Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements
Knowledge of the properties of metal and other materials
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
Physical demands and abilities
Ability to lift 30-50 pounds
Regularly perform repetitive tasks
Possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
