Philips Supervisor in Reedsville, Pennsylvania

In this Supervisor role for the 3rd shift, at Philips Ultrasound, you have the opportunity to

run daily operations in order to meet customer’s quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Organize and prioritize workload while ensuring production schedules are accurate, communicated and only running overtime, to prevent late deliveries. Develop your team and determine objectives and assignments; coordinate with others to accomplish goals.

Third shift: Sunday thru Thursday 10:30 pm to 6:30 am

You are responsible for

  • Run daily operations in order meet customer’s quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Organize and prioritize workload. Determine objectives and assignments; coordinate with others to accomplish goals.

  • Ensure employees are trained to support manufacturing objectives. Responsible to understand the gaps in their team members skill sets and ensure they receive training to support Lean, Yield, Financial, Safety, Production, and 6S Goals.

  • Must effectively manage team member performance.

  • Must understand the businesses goals, set objectives and develop assignments for their team to ensure the organization is successful. Department goals will be shared with all team members.

  • Build a strong and diverse team. Bring the best out of every employee throughout the organization by supporting subordinates, peers, and managers. Facilitate a work environment that treats everyone fairly and provides every employee an opportunity to improve themselves and the business.

  • Encourage maximum participation and involvement in daily activities. Ensure employees are well communicated to and their ideas are considered to maximize the success of all business objectives. When possible, supervisors will delegate tasks to team members for individual growth.

  • Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supplied.

  • Enforce company policy. Resolve production interruptions. Facilitate meetings.

  • Make budgetary recommendations regarding controls, capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.

  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of manufacturing operations in a lean environment.

You are a part of

Philips Ultrasound in Reedsville, PA.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • College degree preferred and HS degree required

  • 3 plus years of Manufacturing experience strongly desired , having ultrasound transducer assembly experience is a plus

  • Proven leadership, persuasiveness, initiative, project management, lean and communication skills are necessary for success in this position.

  • Demonstrated Project / Program management skills. Previous skills working with budgets and project mgmt. within scope of job skills.

  • 3 plus years of manufacturing experience, especially in a light electronics, assembly environment is a plus.

  • Six Sigma / Lean experience will be utilized so experience preferred

  • Intermediate/advanced PC skills, MS Office and Microsoft project applications is required.

  • Must be organized, efficient, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • The ability to plan, organize, and direct both workflow and personnel is required.

  • Must be able to influence others and negotiate terms based on a strong understanding of team goals, objectives, and priorities.

  • Must be assertive, self-directed, and a good team player.
