In this role, you have the opportunity to:
Be a part of Philips Image Guided Therapy Devices (IGT-D) as a Design Change Engineer. In this role, you will take ownership of Product Design Changes. You will support activities related to the Corporate Sustainability initiatives, which includes supporting EcoDesign Product Development and Changes. You will also manage implementation of product design changes and new product development life cycle changes in the PLM system.
You are responsible for
Collaborating with Corporate Sustainability Compliance group, Procurement Engineering, and other departments to ensure organizational compliance to Philips Restricted Substances program.
Collaborating with other engineering functions to develop product with an EcoDesign
Performing technical program review of product compliance to REACH and RoHS regulations.
Supporting New Product Introduction teams related to Regulated Substances compliance
Overseeing and collaborating with Change Management Staff, Engineering staff, and other departments to ensure appropriate management of Design Changes.
Performing periodic review and collaborates updates of Change of Configuration Management (C&CM) procedures as peripheral tools, and performs test of PLM tool as needed.
Participating in annual PLM software tool releases by participating in demonstrations, UATs, training sessions and updating procedures.
Using a systematically approach to analyzes problematic situations and develops solutions consistent with organization objectives and procedures
Reviewing implementation or updates to peripheral tools or processes that may impact the way of working with the current PLM tool.
Working with tool end users to provide guidance on best practices and ways of working.
May develop sustainability solutions to develop overall Philips sustainability footprint
You are a part of
Our solutions combine navigational tools such as catheters and guide wires with advanced software to help confirm the optimal treatment at the point of care: measurement technology, procedure-specific application support and on-board imaging and monitoring with improved anatomical and functional information to optimize therapy delivery. The IGT Devices organization consists of three segments: Coronary, Peripheral Vascular and Electrophysiology. The role will include interacting with the IGT Systems organization in Best, NL.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bc.S. in Engineering, Science or Technical Field
2+ years of experience performing Design Change and Change Management activities within R&D.
Proven experience working with products and process change implementation.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with persons contacted in the course of performing assigned duties including Company management and outside business associates
Desirable knowledge and understanding of FDA regulations, Quality System Regulations (QSR), ISO 13485 requirements and Japan regulations
Desirable knowledge of RoHS 2011/65/EU & 2015/863, REACH 1907/2006, CalProp65
Experience using Windchill preferred
Will be required to travel 10% of time to travel both domestically and internationally to IGT-Devices offices, depending on the needs of the company.
