Research Applications Specialist - Neuro (West Coast)

As the Research Applications Specialist, you are a part of the newly formed Neuro business unit at Philips, focused on neuroscience research, clinical monitoring and the development of non-invasive technologies. These advancements are designed to deliver better tools for research, more definitive diagnostic tools and to better guide therapy in patients suffering from some of the most challenging and impactful neurologic disorders including Epilepsy, Parkinson’s, TBI, Depression, and more. Our business unit is part of the Emerging Business group which acts as a new business incubator inside of the larger Philips HealthTech umbrella. We have an unrelenting focus on meaningful product introduction, new market development, and growth performance. We require dynamic and highly motivated team members to help us build a leadership position in neuro mapping and guidance.
You are responsible for:
Represent Philips and provide technical expertise across the research product portfolio.
Lead pre and post-sale product demonstrations, training/education, and workshops.
Provide in-depth customer needs assessment to ensure customer confidence and success with the research systems.
Represent and champion support needs for customers and provide feedback for new product development.
Focus on research uses, education and improving customer workflows.
Work with cross-functional teams internally (service, support, education, legal etc.) to satisfy customer needs.
Help team achieve targets for orders and revenue within assigned modalities.
Demonstrate superior industry knowledge on market trends and competitive products.
Understand the technical details and use cases of the Philips Neuro product portfolio, for research products.
Understand third party analysis, stimulation and multimodal packages (i.e., Matlab, EEGLAB, ePrime, eye-tracking)
Build and maintain effective relationships with the key thought leaders in your assigned geography
Understand customer requirements and provide solutions in a consultative manner while meeting customer needs.
The position is home based and travel could exceed 75%.
To succeed in this role, yo should have the following skills and experience:
Minimum of 5 years of work experience with proven track record of success and relevant research or clinical experience (EEG/ERP Labs).
In-depth knowledge of neuroscience tools for the measurement of brain function.
Strong EEG recording and analysis experience, HD/dense array EEG experience ideal.
Head modeling and Electrical/Magnetic Source Imaging experience preferred.
TMS or TES stimulation/modulation experience preferred.
Evoked potential/Event related potential study design and interpretation preferred.
Neuro imaging, including functional studies like fMRI and DTI preferred.
Grant writing and strong knowledge of the grant landscape and approval process preferred.
Must have experience/working knowledge of research environments, specifically in the neurosciences (Applied EEG, Cognitive, Psychology)
Ability to understand, convey, and teach others the technical use of the specific assigned products.
Must be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and MAC OS Applications.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must have appropriate presentation skills.
Must work within all company guidelines, processes and policies and adhere to solid business fundamental practices.
