Philips Head of Marketing for SRC Business - Business Marketing Manager in Seoul, South Korea


[Key Areas of Responsibilities]

  1. Strategic Marketing and Execution
  • Lead the team to develop and execute the strategic marketing/business plans with both a one year and three year outlook, identifying growth opportunities, resourcing appropriately and delivering AOP for Sales, IGM and market share goals.

  • Create a value proposition and an offering for the product segments and each channel - ensure that the offer includes product, service, education and support and is communicated in marketing messages and articulated by the sales teams for equipment and service and by the supporting product specialist teams.

  • Leverage the expertise and support from the Regional product specialists to support the local sales teams and customers.

  • Develop local pricing strategy, local product mix in Modality (QxP) and mix management to deliveriGM AOP.

  • Monitor market prices and competitive price developments and determine product price positioning based on win / loss analysis. Escalate positioning / pricing issues to Region.

  • Launch new products and develop and execute market penetration strategies.

  • Understand the customer journey and patient experience and build strategies to optimize opportunities and drive growth.

  • Be responsible for the overall marketing strategy and communication messages for the business portfolio to increase awareness and reinforce the brand proposition.

  • Direct the local Marketing Team to work with the Regional Marketing and digital support team to design and execute programs that generate leads and create advocacy for Philips.

  • Be responsible for the development of sales and marketing strategies for Installed Base retention and creation of advocacy, working with business analytics team and marketing support to develop targeted communication

  1. Channel and Sales Engagement and Support
  • Ensure that indirect channels are properly managed, trained and aligned to the business strategy to ensure that the business plans are executed, AOP delivered and the Philips Brand and value proposition correctly represented in line with strategy.

  • Work closely with the National Sales Leader to ensure that the Sales Team understand the business strategy, engage with the strategy and sales process and have the necessary product knowledge, tools and support to be effective in the field.

  • Work closely with the National sales leader to drive business development with a 1 to 2 year horizon and 6 months planning horizon.

  • Provide input for the business into the F2O (Forecasting Process)

  • Work with Sales Leaders to understand Win Loss trends - take the learnings and insights to assist in making business improvements and enable validation of current strategy and executions.

  • Ensure field support is provided to the Account Managers via the Regional Technical Specialists and local Clinical Specialists.

  • Ensure the local Clinical Team is trained and equipped to be effective in the field and is able to support in both pre and post sales, working closely with customers and Account Managers.

  1. Customer and Internal Relations
  • Develop business relationships with Key Decision Makers of strategic accounts and key customers where appropriate.

  • Manage overall responsibility for Key Opinion Leader relationships.

  • Build and execute plans in conjunction with the sales organisation for KOLs and reference sites.

  • Develop close working relationships with Global BG and Singapore Regional Teams for respective modalities.

  • Work closely with Customer Support Sales and Service and Operations Team.

  1. Quality and Regulatory
  • Take all necessary actions, including the deployment of team objectives, to ensure full compliance with all Business and Q&R policies and procedures.

  • Conduct reviews with the Q&R organization and lead the implementation of improvement actions to ensure that the relevant part of the quality system meets internal requirements and the standards stipulated by applicable external bodies.

  • Communicate latest regulatory/policy changes in health authority with impacts to registered products to business team and stakeholders.

  • Review and ensure labelling/advertising/promotional materials are in compliance with registration and regulations.

  • Conduct reviews with the Q&R organization and lead the implementation of improvement actions to ensure that the relevant part of the quality system meets internal requirements and the standards stipulated by applicable external bodies.

  1. People Leadership
  • People management, including selection, development, goal setting and performance management. Ensures overall high level of talent.

  • Leading, coaching and motivating the team in order to achieve the predefined sales volume and profit goals.

  • Daily demonstration of the highest level of Philips Leadership competencies and behaviours.

[Desired Characteristics]

  • Min. 12 years of marketing experience and P&L Management product and or services in heathcare or medical industry (mandatory)

  • Strong Commercial Acumen and experience in B2B or B2C environment

  • Experience in digitial, e-commerce and customer service marketing ideal

  • Strategy development and execution in healthcare industry

  • Experience in handling diverse and complex market dynamics

  • Strong communicator - good presentation skills

  • People Leadership and coaching

  • Strong understanding of the sales organisation and sales function

  • Fluent in Korean and English, verbal and written.
