Philips EHS Specialist in Shanghai, China


In this role, you have the opportunity to

  • To work for worldwide top Ultrasound business that will help improve the lives of millions of people globally, act as key driver for EHS management improvement.

You are responsible for

  • Lead the EHS team to develop, communicate and maintain company EHS guidelines and monitor the implementation

  • Maintain ISO14001 and OHS18001 system. Draft and update relevant documentation and execute all procedures.

  • Prepare and responsible for internal audit from Philips and external audit as well. ( Such as TUV, third party agency, government)

  • Be responsible for EHS related governments’ liaison, to maintain the EHS permits and other EHS related regulatory compliance.

  • Track site progress and needs. Provide and update on projects for environmental health and safety compliance purposes.

  • Evaluate facility EHS conditions, assess risks and develop appropriate corrective-action plans.

  • Provide EHS guidance and compliance support to ensure compliance with regulatory and program requirements. Participate in EHS compliance and program audits of manufacturing sites and service operations.

  • Provide EHS training to all level employees.

  • In charge of PSCS issue, implementation of PSCS, follow up related corrective action.

  • BCM (Business Continuity Management) site implementation

You are a part of

  • Manufacturing team and report to Manufacturing Manager

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, safety, engineering, environment or equivalent;

  • 5 years’ experience in EHS activities supporting a site/service

  • Proven experience in ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 or similar EHS management system.

  • Familiar with China EH&S legislations and regulations

  • Ability to work effectively within complex decision making; Strong ability to operate independently; ability to work collaboratively and resolve conflict across different functional areas in organization.

  • Good English in oral, listening, reading and writing
