You are responsible for

As Full Stream Marketeer Breast Feeding & Adjacencies in M&CC Greater China , you are responsible for managing your product categories end2end. Ensuring Global Innovations are tailored to Chinese Market Needs and fully own Local4Local Innovation to market introduction. In this role you work closely with the Global (sub) categories, as well as with the local Innovation & Operations and Commercial team. You define G4L and L4L business opportunities based on customer insights and you translate them into winning value propositions. You own the portfolio, product and claim roadmaps and define commercial specifications for the required products. And you are directly responsible to drive the proper introduction of these products in the Greater China market. In this role you will:

  • Secure Global4Local Innovation roadmaps are delivering Innovation designed around GC consumers and Market needs.

  • Tailor the Global M&CC sub-category strategy to Greater China Market needs

  • Create the Local4Local Innovation roadmap and drive execution end2end from development to Commercialization (organic and Inorganic) with the Local Innovation & Operations team and the Commercial team.

  • Influence the G4L product development and drive the L4L Innovation roadmap and process from start to end, taking initial ideas through to product development and market introduction, including communication.

  • You manage a junior marketer.

  • Interact with various disciplines including Innovation, Operations, Quality & Regulatory, Marketing Comm’s, Activation, Sales, etc.

  • Own the business performance of the M&CC Breastfeeding and Adjacencies sub-category in Greater China, including financial & business KPI’s such as market share, ratings & reviews and product quality.

  • Play a strong role in the further digitalization (incl. Services & Solutions) of the product portfolio & go to market strategies in close cooperation with the Global Teams as well as developing Local4Local digital & connected solutions with the local Innovation team and through external partnerships and ecosystems.

You are a part of

You will be part of a dedicated Marketing Team working on the M&CC business in Greater China. Within your team you manage a junior full stream marketer and you report into the Greater China Full Stream M&CC Business Market Combination (BMC) Leader. And will be working in a network of various stakeholders based in Amsterdam (e.g Marketing, I&D, Brand creation, Design), and in the Greater China Operations & Innovation team and Commercial teams of Greater China (China, Taiwan, HK).

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

Education

  • Master degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related fields with excellent academic track record, preferably an MBA.

Experience

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in a (matrixed) international business environment in the field of consumer marketing, sales or product management and ideally Consumer Goods or Mother & Child Care categories.

  • Experience with Marketing Processes, product development and product launches is a must.

  • Experience with Commercialization and 360-activation in market is a must

  • Experience with translating market research and shopper insights into product concepts and new value propositions.

  • Proven track record with global consumer/retail brands with a demonstrated ability to work with multiple and diverse markets.

Personal Qualifications

  • Highly entrepreneurial with a natural affinity for Pregnancy and Parenting products, and a market and consumer driven approach to product creation.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and the passion to drive business growth. Ability to think creatively and pragmatically.

  • Excellent project management skills and broad interests that allow you to create multi-disciplinary environments that inspire and motivate others.

  • Ability to collaborate with local marketing and sales teams as well as (international) Business and Innovation teams. With ability to influence others, present convincing arguments and build and maintain extensive networks.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills to interact with multi-level stakeholders
