In this role, you have the opportunity to
Explore the industrial innovation in ultrasound imaging and/or medical image analytics. You will get the exciting opportunity to work with talented research team in Philips Research China, while closely collaborating with local clinical partners, global research community and business within Philips.
You are responsible for
Applying ultrasound imaging and/or image analysis techniques to address real-world problems within clinical domains
Fast prototyping, feasibility studies, specification, clinical validation and implementation in Philips offerings
Working with internal and external customers to understand users requirements and create and validate technology options
Contributing to Ultrasound Business, Precision Diagnosis through transferring technologies into Philips Solutions
Understanding of clinical workflow and systems, with an emphasis on ultrasound diagnosis and/or interventional procedures
Refreshing and maintaining state of art knowledge and expertise regarding employing information retrieval and extraction, machine learning/deep learning, clinical decision support and/or knowledge management methods
You are a part of
Philips Research, which is the essential force of front end innovation. Philips Research China was established in 2000. The Clinical Solutions department is working on medical imaging, Healthcare IT and chronic disease management.
You will be part of the medical imaging and standardization team and report directly to the team leader. You will have close interaction with global research team and relevant local/global Business.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
A Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering, computer science or other related field. A Master’s degree in the above fields with 5+ years of experience in relevant research areas may also be considered.
Solid experience and good track record on medical imaging and data analysis, information retrieval, and machine learning;
General knowledge on imaging physics of at least one of the common medical imaging modalities;
Highly motivated with a strong interest in clinical research;
Proficient in modern programming languages;
Strong communication skills in English;
