This position will be located in Pudong, Shanghai, China.
In this role, you have the opportunity to
Complete engineering tasks related to specify, design, and develop acoustics module of transducer products. Work closely with engineering team to build acoustics engineering sub units, including plan, design, review, implementation, testing, and deliver results on time to meet the customer requirements.
Work on monitoring equipment and tool calibration fixtures to ensure production equipment calibrated adequately and required tests performed accurately;
You are responsible for
Works as a key contributor in developing transducers both within R&D and outside R&D by working with other functional groups,
Plays a key role in large and complex program teams that interact with other functions to deliver on time; product solutions that exceed customer expectations, meet cost targets, exceed reliability and meets budgets
Works on and solves product-level complex problems (technical/project and some business) where analysis and resolving of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors and sound judgment for making decisions Works as a leadership role for developing product and as a domain expert of a project team for resolving technical problems related to the product Utilizes planning techniques in project/technical problems resolving and can apply the skills to resolve technical and project issues in product development tasks and team activities
Exercises judgment within broadly defined transducer development practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, prioritization, tradeoffs, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Pro-actively seeks out, learns, applies and teaches others new technical skills on an ongoing basis.
Utilizes skills and techniques in problem solving planning and applies the skills to managing project development tasks and team activities Follows product/transducer creation processes, development phases, deliverables, and phase reviews processes, and change procedure for design and change of products Responsible for transducers development projects’ quality of work, reliability, schedule (if appropriate), cost and delegation of tasks on one or more modules.
Works as a domain expert in the engineering team and contributes to overall transducer’s design (architecture and is a primary architect for module designs).
Leads project team as domain expert in applying theoretical modeling techniques and can apply complex design patterns to solve problems and delivering solid results. Capable of leading the team to complete tasks

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Education: Bachelor degree or above, Major in Acoustic Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or EE with demonstrated work experience; Master or higher (Ph.D.) degree preferred
Experience: Minimum 5 years of work experience in developing products in Acoustic Engineering/design, experience in Medical Ultrasound transducer is a required;
Competencies and skills:
Demonstrated history of solid occupational ethics, with experience with electrical test equipment; had worked as mentor Junior to Senior Engineers in R&D or engineering team, good skills on both technical and project problem solving skills;
Strong capability to work effectively with complex projects, leading technical sub-team in responsible technical domain; Good technical skill for issues resolving and troubleshooting; Able to effectively work within a project team and utilizes resources to produce optimal results.
Strong product-level knowledge of ultrasound transducers and knowledge in a variety of specialties; some clinical knowledge.
Capable of identify industry technical trend and steering the technical team to develop proposal for new products and techniques.
Proficient in working directly from technical requirements, define them with sub-tasks and implementation plan, and execute the plan to complete the final product.
Good verbal and written communication skills. Able to effectively communicate and/or present complex technical issues to engineers and managers
Proficient in both Chinese & English
