You are responsible for
Explore and identify research directions and create new digital personal health solutions with deep understanding on customer insights, business viability and technology feasibility.
Explore and create digital engagement solutions that fit for Asia consumer and markets with leveraging internal and external resources
Lead and execute research project(s) according to time, cost, and quality requirement, and taking responsibility in translating research outcome into business opportunities. Manage well the research outcome in the form of IP, internal technical reports and quality publications, where applicable
Leading and driving a technical area in digital applications and be recognized a technical expert, making sure the smooth and efficient execution of research projects, and deliver results on time and in good quality as required.
Develop and maintains contacts with colleagues within and outside Philips, other R&D centers and open innovation partners, in order to support transfer of research results and to keep track of new developments.
You are a part of
You will work in Digital Health China Team, which is a part of Personal Health China Department in Philips Research (China). The team is the competence center on digital concept and digital engagement solution generation with focus on China market from consumer point of view. In Department, there are also teams work on Nutritional Health and Respiratory Health. You will report to Digital Health team leader.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Ph.D. or Master degree in related domains e.g. computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunication applied physics or applied mathematics etc.
Excellent research capability on digital/IoT innovation and/or data driven problem solving and/or data analytics, demonstrated with good track record, e.g. publications at renowned international journals/conferences.
Broad and solid knowledge of either signal processing or data analytics technologies, in particular their applications on digital signal processing, classification and pattern recognition.
Good understanding and analysis of the market, industry, ecosystem and digital technology trends, being able to build an overview
Research experience on digital/IoT data analytic, sensor network and business intelligence related topics is a strong plus.
Consumer understanding and business understanding is a strong plus, e.g. product manager experience
Able to continuously challenge the status quo, with a strong desire to improve
Passionate, open-minded, with a good team spirit, and results-oriented.
Effective communication skills, good grasp of English both orally and literally.
