In this role, you have the opportunity to
Support the Plant in resolving issues, using known Lean and 6S tools, CI methodology, Kaizen events.
Asses key business metrics from a ‘Site Leader’s’ perspective and engage with the MT and middle managers helping them implement Lean initiatives where these can generate improvements..
You are responsible for
Lean Competence development
Develop competences of all appropriate employees of the Plant to become autonomous in continuous improvement management: 5S, reduction of equipment losses, direct labor efficiency, scrap reduction, WIP reduction, Lean Industrialization, VSM
Organize and deliver Lean related trainings and coach employees on the use of Lean tools (5S, SMED, Hoshin, VSM, Kanban, One piece flow, Lean Industrialization, Daily Management and problem solving)
Propose to the Plant Manager the internal Lean strategy of the Plant
Ensure that Lean best practices and rules are taken into account in new projects. Participate in the new equipment commissioning and final acceptance review.
Prepare and organize the weekly Kaizen Committee, including agenda proposal and write meeting minutes. Track Kaizen Event activity plan.
Help Department Managers in defining the Lean roadmap of their activity in accordance with Philips Business System.
Support the physical flows VSM mater plan deployment. Propose and lead Kaizen events
Advance Business Transformation culture and competency, ensure that prioritized BT tools (Hoshin Planning, Daily Management and Problem Solving) are structurally deployed.
Partnership with regional coach, continuously drive the Lean Maturity growth based on Philips Business System, organize and conduct self-assessment to address the GAPs and follow up on regularly basis
Lean Gemba Activities
Lead Kaizen events with multi competence teams, including operators
Deploy Lean standards and best practices within the Plant
Track and monitor the Plant Kaizen performance
Identify Muda and lead root cause analysis and problem solving when appropriate
Address the deviations from standards (Daily management/problem solving) and get back to standard.
Manage Lean Budget
Track and report progress of the implementation of the Lean Strategy and Lean maturity
Lean Network Activities
Attend the GC Lean network meetings to learn and share best practices
Benchmark other sites through Kaikaku tour: Philips other sites, Toyota, Valeo, etc.
You are a part of
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Education: Bachelor or above, major in Engineering related discipline is a MUST.
Experience: More than 8 years of total industry experience, with at least 4 years’ experience in business excellence/improvement, lean manufacturing or related functions, Experience in MNCs preferred.
Competencies and skills:
Strong knowledge and skills in Lean related tools and experience in Shop floor lean activities implementation, capable to lead & motivate the team/company to drive through Lean implementation phases.
Excellent communication & coordination skills, able to manage cross-site & cross-function teams and projects.
self-motivated, capable of working under pressure
Strong English and Chinese Language skills
