Philips Chief Engineer, NPI in Singapore, Singapore

•Responsible for industrialization activities e.g IE, process and equipment realization. • Work closely with cross function team of i&D, Quality, Purchasing and project management to fulfill new product requirements.•Responsible for industrial related milestones and deliverables.•Identify bottlenecks/risks and initiating corrective actions by working closely with relevant functions to ensure smooth Engineering trial and production start up.•Plays pro-active and creative role in project team and lead implementation activities from PC onwards.

As the Chief Engineer, NPI, you are representing the industry within the project team. Interfacing with I&D for IPD project activities and being an industry project leader in coordinating supply-related functions i.e. Process, Tooling, IQ, Logistics, Production, SQ and Initial Purchasing

You are responsible for

  • Responsible for industrialization activities e.g IE, process and equipment realization.

  • Work closely with cross function team of I&D, Quality, Purchasing and project management to fulfill new product requirements

  • Responsible for industrial related milestones and deliverables.

  • Identify bottlenecks/risks and initiating corrective actions by working closely with relevant functions to ensure smooth Engineering trial and production startup

  • Plays pro-active and creative role in the project team and lead implementation activities from PC onwards.​

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Technical education in a relevant discipline

  • Knowledge of relevant technology and Equipment and Process.

  • Quality conscious, aware of the need for a good working atmosphere.

  • Inspiring confidence, ability to inspire and empathise

  • Good communication, negotiations and coaching skills

  • People minded, business minded

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities

  • Demonstrated project management capabilities, knowledge of project management methods

  • Good understanding of processes, especially project and supplier management processes​
