Philips Logistics Procurement Intern in Singapore, Singapore


In this role, you have the opportunity to

Contribute to Philips logistics procurement processes while obtaining the first hand experiences that align with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Work collaboratively with organization leadership, enhancing knowledge and skills and improving the delivery of quality healthcare products. Assist in the completion of projects and administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned function and/or location. Attend training and development opportunities, learning about various processes and functions within the organization.

You are responsible for

You will be working as part of the logistic Procurement team for Philips HealthTech in APAC on the following areas:

  • Collaborate with departmental associates and management.

  • Support commodity manager in following up of projects.

  • Serve as liaison between Procurement and other functional departments.

  • Assist in procurement tender preparation and contract completion.

  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of organizational project management practices and tools.

  • Identify tasks or outputs that require accuracy and detail-level attention.

  • Demonstrate an expectation that there will be ongoing shifts in demands and priorities and demonstrate an ability to meet own responsibilities.

  • All other tasks as assigned by senior management.

  • Internship period: June to December 2019

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Master’s degree with relevant discipline i.e Business, Supply Chain, Finance or law ( Knowledge of logistics industry preferred)

  • Enjoy working in a multi-culture & team-based environment

  • Strong communication, analytical, critical thinking and organization skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Microsoft words and excel)

  • Ability to work independently
