In this role, you have the opportunity to

Join the leading business group in Philips Health tech with our aim to improve people’s health & well-being while advancing your career in a dynamic, fast pace and innovative company.

You are responsible for

  • Developing new feature(s) / function(s) as part of the Thermo-Mechanical Development team

  • Developing and delivering assigned project by internship supervisor

  • Assisting in principle investigation and technical feasibility evaluation

  • Assisting in test of concepts / prototypes & data acquisition in development process

  • Assisting Thermo-Mechanical Development Engineer in 3D CAD design when needed

  • Providing administrative assistance to Thermo-Mechanical Development Engineer when needed (eg. Create evaluation report, bill of material and drawing)

  • Able to commit fully from July to December 2020

You are a part of

a highly innovative R&D team in creating new functions, improving product features and performance to meet consumer needs. Together with your team, you will strive to innovate, make continuous improvement in terms of deliverable, way of work and develop yourself.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Currently pursuing a relevant engineering discipline i.e. Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics

  • Strong interest in research, design and experimentation and excellent excel data analysis experience

  • Strong analytical skills, conceptual thinking & problem solving skills

  • Good communication skills (both verbal and written) and team player

  • Hands-on experience with small tools & equipment, working with plastics/metals, designing experiments

  • Ability to work independently or in a team, positive attitude and willing to learn
