Philips Finance Business Partner in Stamford, Connecticut


In this role, you have the opportunity to

Be a strategic business partner and drive decisions that contribute to the performance and objectives of the Domestic Appliances business in North America, a category that represents over $50M USD sales with significant growth potential/ambitions.

You are responsible for

  • Providing financial/business support for the business management teams to ensure full transparency, planning and decision making

  • Pro-active and timely high quality analysis in the commercial organization for the respective business in Personal Health for North America.

  • Ensuring the development of profound knowledge and competencies within the team.

  • Participating with executive management to establish strategic plans and objectives for the respective business.

  • Making final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures effective achievement of objectives.

  • Owning the Financial business planning process for the respective businesses

  • Identifying, recommending and implementing changes to plans/ways of working to drive effectiveness and efficiency

  • You will be the spider in the web towards the business team (Marketing/Sales/Sales Planning/Category Management and Operations) and Accounting Operations.

  • Providing in-depth understanding of the business by translating variances in KPI’s, BMC’s, WC elements and macro-economic into actions.

  • Making sure that changes in the business (e.g. portfolio and other reporting structure updates) are properly reflected into reporting systems to ensure that the right business/financial information is available for planning and analysis.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Economics

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

  • Experience with matrix organizations and virtual teams.

  • Progressive experience and deep understanding in Finance.

  • Knowledge of Business Information Warehouse, SAP, and Excel.

  • Proven working experience with financial control, management reporting and business analysis, preferably within an international environment.

  • Analytical skills – ability to translate into concrete actions.

  • Creativity and efficiency to achieve goals and business objectives
